MISYSU!!!
Can''t believe I forgot to contact you about this. You''re getting your dress from Princess bridal, right?
Well, just so you know....although they took down my number, FI''s number, and my email address, they never bothered to call and let me know that my dress was ready.

The only reason why I found out is because I decided to stop by there on a whim to try on destination wedding dresses (just to be sure I made the right decision). And when I told the girl that I had already ordered a dress in OCTOBER, she went to check up on it, and it was there. I have no idea how long it was actually at the store without them ever getting in contact with me, so if I were you I would definitely call and check up on it. I''m sure it''s there already!

Sorry I didn''t tell you sooner...it just slipped my mind.

Whoa THANK YOU luckystar!

Last time I called, they said they''d contact me when my dress arrived, but now that I think about it, they never asked me for my name to see if it was already there!

I will definitely call them tomorrow! Cross your fingers for me-- I''m starting to get nervous!!

YAY for good friends on PS!

Hi misy,

So as not to continue threadjacking on tberube''s thread, thanks so much for the info luckystar gave you.

I am in complete panic mode about my dress not making it in time, or, if it actually DOES make it, that it won''t fit right, might need too many alterations, etc...

I did order in my specific hollow-to-hem to hopefully avoid the need for hemming, but I honestly don''t know what I''m going to do if it doesn''t fit or needs too much done to it.

I guess I need to have a seamstress waiting in the wings the moment it arrives, huh?

Aaaaaghhhhhh!

Thanks again for the information, and I hope yours is in!

It''s a wonder any of these bridal salons manage to stay in business, isn''t it?

ARGH! I''ve called the dress shop 3 times in 2 days and they keep saying they''ll check and get back to me, adn then they don''t call. I''m going to KEEP calling. Tomorrow I''m going to ask for the manager. I think once I get my dress I''m going to leave them a nice little treat on Citysearch.

Okay!! They finally called me back, and Casablanca told them it shipped yesterday!!!

I guess you''ll have to keep your eyes open for a "MY DRESS CAME IN!" thread from me next week!!

Geez!
I thought that this bridal shop was different and more personable, but they definitely aren''t very organized there, huh?
I don''t know if you''ve actually been in there yet, but the girl who has been "in charge" everytime I go couldn''t be more than 20-21 years old. I''m assuming she''s the daughter of the owner. So maybe this is age discrimination, but perhaps she can''t handle running the store and keeping up with orders herself.
She''s the one that was trying to convince me to get the gown a size smaller than the one I tried on at the store (which fit perfectly). SO glad I didn''t do that, because it wouldn''t have fit. I put my foot down. I think I mentioned this a while back, but I was there when another girl''s dress arrived and it didn''t fit her. She said she was told to get a smaller size even though she didn''t want to.

She should have put her foot down too! lol.

Anyway, don''t let them do the alterations. I heard their pricey, plus you wouldn''t want them to just throw your dress in the back and forget about it.

Thanks for the tip on the alterations. I ordered the size she suggested, but the older lady measured me and it didn''t feel like she was pulling the tape too tightly. Wish me luck, I guess! :)
