Mixing metals in ring stack?

Hi all! I have a platinum engagement ring and a platinum wedding band. I need/want to get a spacer for in between them. Am I limited on only using a platinum spacer? Will I damage either of the platinum bands if I used a 14kt yellow gold spacer for instance?

I’m interested in adding a little gold to the mix, but not if either of my platinum rings will get ruined Thank you!

Sounds great. Do whatever you want. The UK royals tend to mix metals since the wedding bands are yellow welsh gold.

I alway mix platinum and gold. I have not had any issues.

I do the exact thing you’re talking about. Been doing it for a few years. I have a platinum e-ring and platinum wedding band. I have a gold 14k (or 15k?) spacer in between and it’s held up just fine.

I’m sure the gold spacer will wear out at some point but better that than my platinum diamond rings. The spacer was only 60 bucks anyway. The mix metal look is really nice.
