Moissante or lab grown diamond

I have this diamond cluster ring and I love the setting just wish the cluster middle was a diamond. Can’t see me affording a diamond of this size anytime soon 8mm x8mm I am considering a moissante or lab grown cushion what do you guys recommend?

My gut reaction is that you won't get an 8mmx8mm cushion for $2k unless you go for lower colours (maybe K or lower) and/or lower clarity (SI), and even then you might struggle.

Have a look through the vendors in the 'list of MMD vendors' thread and see if there are any potential options.

Is this moissante or lab-grown diamonds? I thought they were significantly cheaper, I could be wrong

I think you'll get more replies on the MMD subforum. In moissanite you can easily get 8x8 for under $500 overseas. Lab grown stones it will be trickier.

I would definitely look at man made/lab diamond. Moissanite is pretty and some love it. If you go this route, make sure it is a "mind clean" option. Will you look at the stone and wish it were diamond?

In my case, that's what happened. The optics are different and I was disappointed.
