Aw thanks Mayachel! It''s funny how they did end up looking like mother-daughter rings!

Amethyst is her birthstone, and it was one of the few stones that she likes that I could afford in a larger size (no way can I get a 5 ct. sapphire, emerald or ruby and she really doesn''t wear other colored stones). So it worked out, esp. since her birthday is the end of this month so it''s an early present for her

I imagine your mom is going to keel over when you give this to her! The purple looks so majestic and what a beautiful cut that displays pinkish/blueish tones! It looks gorgeous in the LOGR setting!! What a sweet daughter you are! Can I adopt you? LOL!!

She is and she loves it! All her friends are super-jealous and they really like the ring too! The only problem is even if she decides to reset her diamond now into a halo, it''ll look too small next to that purple monster! (and she has a 1 ct. round, lol) But no, she loves it, and I''m so glad!
