Soooo, @HotPozzum and I discovered are are both in the UAE - how cool is that? Another PS member for me to bling with
We caught up for coffee and a sharing of bling and pearls - it was such fun and the nearly 2 hours went by really fast.
My lovely adult daughter came too and was particularly taken with a beautiful Cooper Pedy opal ring @HotPozzum was wearing. Us all being Aussies, I felt somewhat ashamed that I haven't added an Australian opal to our collection (I do have a large black Lightening Ridge opal - but that's back in Australia on consignment sale - that's another story). And I do still have the Ethiopian Welo Opal from Barry at AC Stones which I'm still trying to figure out how to set...
So, keeping it all in the Aussie family, I reached out to MsOpalWorld on Etsy - our @jordyonbass - and between us we selected this gorgeous little opal which we will set in a simple gold bezel ring for my daughter inspired by the ring @HotPozzum was wearing. Her stone is more organic triangular whereas this one is more chunky pear. The colour play of this stone is so much like the Monet Waterlilies paintings that it just couldn't be called anything else.
Jordan was a pleasure to deal with. Very patient despite the fact that he was out on a fishing trip with his dad. He even gave me a "mates rates" discount for which I was very grateful.
Here is the Etsy listing and a couple of photos from that same listing. I will get the stone in a week or so and will post an update at that time...
