I was happy to land this antique moonstone pin. I wanted a moonstone piece for awhile now. Plus I landed an antique 9ct rosy yellow gold chain to match!! I tried to do the conversion myself sans the bench since it was Christmas and I was dying to wear it...I nearly lost a moonstone down the drain!!

Anyhow, I brought the whole thing to a local jeweler who loved the idea of dealing with preloved items. It was ready two weeks post Xmas. The wait was kinda brutal but I am wearing daily now!!

First, pics of the before pieces from their listingss-l500.jpgs-l500 (3).jpgs-l500 (1).jpgs-l500 (2).jpg

Its stunning. I too love to recycle old jewelled brooches or pins into more wearable jewellery.
Lovely.

Reall pretty and how great that you were able to repurpose it and make it wearable in a modern way.

Jaw just dropped. Absolutely stunning!

Love that!!! :love::love:

Well done - so elegant!

Yes, this is gorgeous!

Love the way the conversion turned out. It is a great piece and looks wonderful on you. Enjoy!

Ooh, I really like the original pin but I love the new necklace. Beautiful moonstones. Seems like the stuff being mined now is less clear with less color play.

Very pretty conversion!

I it! You have a good eye!

Love it! It's a great go with everything necklace!

Straight up amazing! I love it.:appl:

Finished necklace! IMG_20180115_123217.jpg IMG_20180128_195621.jpg IMG_20180128_195510.jpg IMG_20180128_195415.jpg The brooch was also in a rosy 9ct yellow gold so the chain matches exactly with it's vintage clasp.
That is seriously gorgeous.. I love it and it looks beautiful on you.

Thank you all , i am humbled!

Yes - I agree that it looks so gorgeous on you; I should've said it in my first post. The quality of the moonstones, the color of the gold and the curve of the moonstones on the pin all combine to make it so lovely!
