so withthanks giving coming i have a feeling hes going to ask mom and dad for their blessing...i am so much more nervous than he is at this point...so i wanna know


whose guys have talked to your parents...how did you feel were you nervous was he?

DH never even considered asking my parents for their blessing, which I was glad of...I''m not a huge fan of that tradition and as an educated, independent woman, I find the tradition to be antiquated and a tad offensive.

That having been said...

Why are you nervous? Do you have reason to think that your parents would not give their permission? And if they don''t, then what?

my FF asked my parents last week...and i was sort of nervous. my FF is pretty different than both my mom/stepdad and my dad/stepmom, and i think sometimes they don''t always get each other, so i was nervous that they were going to have this huge interaction that i wasn''t going to be there for!

my FF said he wasn''t nervous at all beforehand, but afterwards admitted that he was freaking out during it at my mom''s. I think he was a little more scared to talk to my dad, but after he left there and came to get me the music in the car was blaring which in hespeak means he was really pumped up

(which he admitted he was later).

FI asked my dad for his blessing in person when we were visiting, and my mom and step-dad over the phone. When he asked my dad, I had a feeling he was doing it then, and I TOTALLY FREAKED OUT!!! I called my friend and said ''I don''t HAVE to get married right RIGHT RIGHT!?!?!?!?!'' and she was all ''Of course you don''t, honey!'' I was very nervous indeed.

So, yes, your nervousness is normal. Even HEALTHY! AFter all, if you aren''t just a titch scared, you probably aren''t taking the enormity of it with enough seriousness.

But don''t worry, sweety! It passes and the joy and anticipation takes over.

hey girls sooo.......

HE DID IT HE TALKED TO MOM AND DAD


AND IT WENT GREAT!!!!

he said that my mom was smiling from ear to ear when he told her and when he told my dad he actually giggled a little and then he brought both of them into the room and my moms like "so were going to have a new son!"

omigosh i was so nervous and now that its done and we have their blessing i can not be happier

he also asked my mom if she would cant to see the CAD''s and the pictures of the castings casue their in his email and she was like no i want to see her reaction!!! my moms so cute

so yea i now think its going to happen real soon since their all ok with everything..but i know the rings not done yet so im pretty sure it wont be long after once it is done!!
