My FI requested redundancy from his firm 9 months ago and after 6 months they agreed. He got three months ''gardening leave'' during which he could look for another job within the company (it''s a huge multinational energy company).
Well, he has found what is his perfect job in another division of the company. It could be made for him it''s so good, and it''s internal applications only. It''s also 2 pay-grades higher than he is now - which would mean we could afford to start a family.
He had his second interview today, which he thinks went really well, but they are also interviewing 3 other people. He''s worried because his 3 months is up on October the 3rd - after which he can''t be considered for internal appointments.
We are leaving for the US on the 21st September and we can''t cancel as it''s his brother''s wedding. There is already a problem that his father collapsed 2 weeks ago with a thrombosis in his leg - which they thought they''d have to amputate. Fortunately they managed to do a by-pass, but he can''t fly for 3 months and so has had to cancel a trip to Alaska with his youngest son and going to his eldest son''s wedding in Chicago (we tried boats, trains etc), so we have to be there as everyone is so sad already.
Anyway, we''d really appreciate some fairy dust that it all comes through - in a good way - in the next 10 days!
Thanks
