Hi everyone! I have been lurking on pricescope for a l-o-n-g time, but rarely post - everyone else says what I would say more eloquently than I could anyway. I love getting ideas here, especially since I feel like I have no idea what I''m doing!

I apologize if I''m posting a thread that has already been done, but I ran a quick search and didn''t see anything. . . I''m talking to photographers/videographers this week and I''m not really sure what to ask for. . .

Could you post your must take shots? Other photo-related ideas?

Thanks a bunch!

DH and I had a very strong preference for nothing too posed or formal (ie, long line-ups of family members smiling directly into the camera). We told our photographer that we wanted everything to be as artistic as possible, and gave him complete creative license... and the pix turned out exactly how we hoped they would be. My favorites were all the "posed" shots that were unique and visually interesting, like the bridal party portraits and all the outdoor garden pix. And I really enjoyed some of the artistic shots of "things"... the graceful centerpieces in the glow of candle-light, our wedding rings together on a leather notebook with the name of our hotel in the background, etc.... as well as all the shots with people in them.

Link to my wedding pix in case it gives you a better idea what I''m babbling about!

Thanks so much, bee! That list will help me get a sense of what I need - it''s a great organizer!

I was thinking more like what ephemery posted (Thanks!) - I know I''ve seen a ton of "different" pics on here that I really liked - other than the standard, posed shots. (bride at a window, closeup on blue shoes, hand on hand with the rings, etc). I''d like to compile some of these more creative pics in one place to get ideas.

If you or know of any more imaginative pictures, please post them here!

FI and I really want the same thing, nothing too posed. Do you know your venue yet? Because the best thing I think is to think of the layout of the vnue and then go from there. You can come up with some great places to take photos and then just let the photos happen while everyone relaxes.
