So I went with my mom to have some jewelry checked for her warranty. (And yes both of us do have some mall jewelry) While there we were browsing. We found this criss cross ring that we both liked. My mom wanted to see the emerald version. The lady showed us and we looked. I don''t like foggy looking emeralds . . . . so I wasn''t impressed. They had a pink version of the ring so I asked to see it. I had it in my hand for < 5 sec and said "It''s missing a diamond". OOPS!!! My mom was highly amused that I saw it so quickly. The sales associate could not find it. I had to litterally point it out. To her credit she didn''t put it back in the case. Geesh. We walked out and I was shaking my head and my mom was trying not to laugh.

Now while the quality might suck, I did like the ring. Which leads me to the thought that I often like the designs in the mall stores, but not the quality. Where/ how would one going about finding/creating a similar ring of better quality.

This is the ring:

I have found a missing diamond in a local (non-chain) B&M''s case too. I think sometimes those things just happen. Still funny though.

Oh I''m sure they happen. I think it''s funny though! Mostly to see the shock on the associate''s face. I''ve spent a LOT of time at mall stores (not much any more since PS) and have never found a missing stone. It was kind of fun.

check adwar.com or stuller.com I thought I''ve seen some cast resembling the ring you posted. After finding the cast, work with a jeweler to get the cast and use better quality diamonds.
