My 4.83ct sapphire again.

I posted this when the pricescope 2.0 was up, and it is gone now. So here I go again, and with some new photos on demand.
This sapphire is bought from a contact of mine here in Denmark. It is from Madagascar, has a deep blue color the size is:
9.80 x 8.85 x 5.5mm
The ratio is:
1.11:1
The cut is a octagon and almost a perfect square, as you can see from the measurements.

And a outdoor pic, I think it got a bit overexposed, and that is even with the cloudy weather. But it shows rather well the outdoor color of the stone.


And I want to thank you all for the advices on how to take pictures. These are my first picture of gems, and my first macro pictures ever. So I am glad for any advices you can give me.

I like the cut and colour in the outdoor shot.

The outdoor picture seems best although it does seem overexposed. In the previous picture on the gray background, the stone just blacked out. What is the treatment level of this sapphire?

I will remember that and try to take my gem pictures outside in the future.

To my knowledge the sapphire has only been heat treated. I am still in the process of assembling my gem testing aquipment so I can not test for any further treatments. On the other hand I trust the guy I bought it from. But he can still had been fraud by someone earlier on in the buying chain.
