Hello everyone! I have been a long time lurker but have recently decided to start sharing. I just really can not believe the beautiful jewelry that you guys post. When I first found Pricescope I was so very surprised -- I thought I was the only person who looked at her jewelry constantly! Anyway, here it goes:

Summer Engagement 2010 - Jeff Cooper w/ a 1.02 GIA VS1 J color. I don't have a pic, terrible I know! Attaching a similar JC ring photo.

2010 - Upgraded center stone to a 1.38 VS1 G color. Same setting. No pictures.

2011 - Married. Had same 1.38 stone set into a custom white gold bezel setting. No pictures.

2013 - Upgraded to a 2.07 SI1 G and had another bezel setting made. Picture to follow.

2014 - Upgraded to a 3.02 SI1 I color. Setting w/baguettes on either side, set in platinum. Picture to follow.

2016 - Same center stone but new CvB setting. The Avalon in 18k white gold. I just wanted more presence -- you know? And I love my new setting. I think Caysie did a terrific job. However, one of my friends said it looked like costume jewelry. I was a bummed. I live in a small town (9k people) and I know my ring is not the "norm." Still kind of hurt my feelings. But then I looked at my sparkling ring and totally forgot all about it! Lol!

Thank you everyone for taking time to read and look. I am very thankful there is a community where "showing off" isn't considered bad. Makes me feel accepted for my obsession! And a little shout-out of my husband who is super cool with all of this

Amazing rings!!!!

Who made the second bezel ring?

I love that I'm not alone in trying different ring options... keep the man, and change the ring up as much as you like! ;) That is the agreement that my husband and I have....

Gorgeous pics and I love the new setting. More pics of it, please!

Sorry -- Picture three is incorrect. It was in a plain setting while I figured out a new one. So here is the platinum setting with baguettes.

pearaffair -- thank you very much! I was inspired by the settings of Whiteflash and James Allen. They have something similar. I'm attaching the Whiteflash one. Mine was less "round" on the top. And my local jewelry store (really awesome) did the setting for me in platinum. I am pretty sure they sent it out. But I don't know where. Sorry! And I love what you said about change the ring and keep the man. LOL!

Beautiful upgrade and rings!!!! I like the last one the best!!!!

Thank you arkieb1!! I think this one might stick -- for a while!

Wow, I can't believe that a friend would say something like that. Your rings are all lovely and I'd treat the friend's remark as the green eyed monster at work!

Love this agreement!

You have clearly come to the right place! Welcome home! :wavey: :appl:

Your CVB ring is absolutely gorgeous! So sad that someone would be jealous enough to make a negative comment. I think many of us have rings that are nicer than our friends and family, so we understand the dilemma. But it's just our hobby and others just spend money differently.

I think this diamond has found a final home! From now on, just work on a second diamond or right hand rings!

Costume jewelry? Good lord.

Casysie is great and so is your ring.

Gorgeous new reset!! :appl:

Haha and a friend of mine who loves to change up her rings, she says, "Well you wouldn't wear the same hairstyle for the whole rest of your life. Why would you wear the same rings?" Lol! I love it!

Sjroberts, I'm considering bezels. I like the whiteflash one that you posted, but I couldn't find it on their site. Is that a current or older photo?

Here's a couple more of the CvB on my hand. Again thanks to everyone for looking and for your nice comments! I just get so excited to see people commenting on my ring. I love love love seeing all your jewelry too!!

I hope the CVB setting is your "forever" setting...just so pretty!

your ring is STUNNNNNING and your friend is

Congratulations!!! share a billion more pics!

Dollyanjuli you are just the sweetest person ever! I'll post more pics tomorrow. Lol! This is fun!

I LOVE the side profile of your ring!

What a fun thread to read! I like seeing your journey of rings - all are really beautiful choices  In regards to your friend who said your ring looked like costume jewelry, put that out of your head immediately. It's a beautiful piece, and I would suspect jealousy is the root of that comment.

Thank you for the blingie photo essay of the rings! Love them. I do, however, ADORE the side view particularly of your latest, the CvB, and head-on on your finger it just looks perfect there. Great job with that.

:appl: :appl: :appl:

You've certainly come to the right place for sharing your love of jewelry! Thank you for sharing your journey with us, along with drool worthy photos of your rings! That CVB is heavenly!

Beautiful new setting, I love that particular design! It looks very well balanced on your hand, enjoy!!!

Maybe she just meant she couldn't believe something so large was really real - a stone that size is in the minority for sure. It looks lovely on your hand - I love the setting and the bands too!

Motownmama I think you are right. I don't think she was being mean. Just that her comment made me a little embarrassed for having another :wink2: setting made. In comparison to some of th members here, I have a very small jewelry collection. But some times I do feel guilty wearing the items I do have. Again being in a small town means I either never wear my stuff, or I wear it and and risk looking like a show off. I don't want to look like a show off ! But I love jewelry so very much. I Have since I was a young girl.

My grandmother married my grandfather without a ring since they didn't have much money. So when he became successful, he constantly showered her with jewelry. I remember just sitting and looking through her jewelry box. It was heaven! Lol! She's been gone for 35 years but I like to think I carry on her legacy of loving pretty sparkling baubles. However it would have been nice if she just collected tea cups

Anyway I know I shouldn't feel guilty. I know people on here will reiterate that. But the feelings are still real. So I just really love that there is a place like this where we can share and drool and be happy for everyone. Even for those that have more than we do!

Well that is just gorgeous. And no cocktail to be found! That "friend" is not a friend. Cut her loose.
