My BF told me he was going to talk to Dad!

My boyfriend is so silly. Here''s the deal- we''re basically doing the distance thing for like- a year. He''s been in Washington DC all summer, is coming to visit me for 2 weeks in September and then headed off to Germany for a YEAR!

Anyways- he was on the phone with me earlier tonight and told me that he might "talk to my dad" when he comes to visit in September. I was like, "You''re not supposed to tell me that, silly!!" Then he was trying to cover it up- and said- "well maybe I''ll just wait and talk to him when I get back next year! You''re not gong to know!!" His mom and cousin also overheard him on the phone saying that to me and they berated him for it too... lol.

It doesn''t really bother me- we talk about getting married all the time, so I know its coming... but the element of "surprise" is still nice... ha ha.

Boys... so silly...

(especially when they drink- they just get too excited and get all chatty)

Yay, how exciting!

New Year''s Eve, I stepped out of the car to get something. FI asked my dad. I got back to the car, and FI immediate tells me he got my dad''s permission. I was dumbfounded, but he really didn''t know the rules.

Will you be visiting Germany?

I will be in Germany on December 16 through the middle of January... that covers 2 holidays in foreign lands... hmmmm...

He keeps telling me that he''s going to "keep me on my toes"... he said it might be the day you land or a year from the day you land- you''re not going to know! He also said he might even try and "throw me off" and pretend like it''s "the night."

I told him he was going to give me an anxiety attack!

Isn''t it funny what a few drinks will do.

This weekend SO and I went to hang out with some good friends it''s a great group of guys (who are several years younger than us) and their parents who are actually really cool will have a few drinks with us as well. Other than "the moms" I''m usually the only girl there, but one of the guys brought his new gf. At one point I walked over to my SO who was talking to the guys and he hugged me and said "I''m going to marry this girl!" and his friends all said "you better" or "if you don''t I will!" Then later they all agreed that I am the best GF apparently they don''t approve of the other guys new main squeeze I''m just glad they waited until they were gone to bring it up.
