So I celebrated a very significant birthday June 1st! Not necessarily a good birthday, just one of those "well it's better than pushing up daisies" kind of birthdays
And I had decided that I needed a blingy five stone ring to celebrate my five decades of existence Back when I found PS I obsessed at the SMTB-Five Stone Ring thread. Such beautiful sparkly rings! I knew that I would have to have one someday.
The seed was planted. The quest began. Always on a budget, I started the hunt last fall allowing plenty of time to find what I needed.
A longtime PSer listed her .68 ctw I VS2 WF ACA studs for sale so I bought those! After seeing those beautiful stones I started searching on James Allen for 34-35 ct I VS2 True Hearts diamonds. I found two on the same day, at a significant savings, because they were a buyback. So I had four of my diamonds all the same size, color, clarity and all AGS0.
I purchased the final diamond, a beautiful BGD Signature .35ct H back in November.
I think it's very cool to have my diamonds come from three top PS vendors! They are all gorgeous and show perfect arrows through a loupe or ideal scope viewer.
For months I couldn't make up my mind on a setting, although I knew I was having the ring made by Brian Gavin.
I finally made a decision late April and the ring was underway!
I chose the classic U-Prong in platinum. I had an alexandrite (June birthstone) set inside the shank along with my birthday engraved and a fun secret song title. I've had my ring for a couple of weeks now and love it
So fun to have a super blingy sparkle bomb All of my other rings are step cuts so this is different for me!
Pictures coming up!
