I just wanted to add the photos with the ring on you childs (I assume) hand, and you holding, palm up, your childs hand are very touching and beautiful.

Aww, thank you Treenbean! That's my 4 year old son Benjamin's hand and those are my favorite pics. This sapphire along with another one were gifts from my husband for the birth of our second son, who was actually 1.5 by the time I received the stones  ! It would have been sweet to have had a picture with the baby's hand, but I could never put anything so valuable into his pudgy little hand ;)) !

My sons initials are engraved inside the shank, "B&N", not for "baby nurse" but "Benjamin and Noah"!

Holy WOW!! Stunning! The color is phenomenal and the setting is simple elegance.

Thank you k9muttlover! It's the most beautiful ring I own and I don't think I'll ever get tired of looking at it!

This color is AMAZING!!! Could someone please describe the color/tone/saturation for me in gem-speak!

Thank you, akmiss! I wish I could answer this question but I'm not savvy enough to speak gem-speak. The GRS cert describes it as "vivid blue (GRS type "royal blue").

The stone is a beauty! And I love yellow gold with colored stones. You have chosen very well.

It's so lovely, BabyNurse! I wouldn't mind you posting a dozen more pics.

Thank you, kelpie! I did in fact take a lot of pictures of this ring  , so I'll post a few more tonight!

I'm still drooling over those amazing rings you had made at Hunt Country Jewelers! I had my eye on that green garnet of Gene's for the longest time, lol! The ring you had made for it is a work of art  !

Lovely ring! Gorgeous stone! what more could you want? Is it heated? Its kinda like, um , perfect.

That's for sure !!!!
What a glorious blue stone !!!! :cheeky:  :cheeky:
The setting is perfection and it looks stunningly beautiful on your hand !
How did you come across the jeweler? It's a wonderful setting !
I love how the diamonds seem to "hug" the sapphire!

Oh, and I love the creativity of your photos,
I am getting so many great picture-taking ideas here!

Thank you, thank you, thank you Shiney! I really love this stone, too!
The setting is the same one that FacetFire had her OEC engagement stone set in a few years ago. I did a lot of looking, but couldn't find a setting that I loved as much as this one, so I went for it (thank you FF)! I wanted something simple with a little bit of bling, and this one fit the bill :)) .

Awwww, so beautiful!

Fabulous stone and equally lovely ring.

Your sapphire is exactly what comes to my mind when I think of a Ceylon sapphire.

Thanks very much, Pandora! I have a lot of gemstones. This is the only blue and I don't think I'll ever feel the need to get another!

Wow, look at that gorgeous color! I love the setting, too, the richness of the yellow gold, and the spark of the diamonds. It may have taken you a while to choose the setting, but you made a great choice!

Thanks for the kind words, Aoife! Yes, it's an amazing blue and definitely one that works well with yellow gold :)) !

Wow. What an elegant and sturdy setting. It really makes that magnificent sapphire pop. I've seen a few things from Pearlman's before but haven't purchased. Now I feel more comfortable buying from them after hearing the feedback.

Thank you, briolette! You know, it looks amazingly delicate in person but is really substantial, so "elegant and sturdy" is an excellent description!
I can't say enough good about my experience with Pearlman's; I would definitely buy from them again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.

So blue! So shiny! So velvety!. LOVELY! I have a thing for sapphires. Lucky you. :sun:

Stunning sapphire, BN. Richard Wise did well. Lovely setting as well.

Wear it in good health. :appl:

OH HOLY WOW!

It is perfect! I love that setting!

Hi stepcutgirl :wavey:! How are you? Was it not just yesterday that we were looking for homes for our blue sapphires? Your set is a dream and it must have been wonderful having Erica and Grace supporting you! And I hope your wedding was everything you'd hoped it would be-- congratulations :appl: !

I'm delighted with my ring. I did a lot of research and I'm pleased that I found the right fit. Thank you for the kind words!

Very pretty blue and the openness of the setting allows the colour to come through beautifully!

Thanks, Chrono! Yes, part of the reason I chose the setting was to be able to enjoy the stone's profile and to make sure it was open enough that it wouldn't darken the stone. And if it has darkened since it was set, i haven't noticed.

That is a GLORIOUS sapphire. I have a sapphire cut by Richard Homer and I like it but it is darker than I would like a lot of the time. Does yours usually look this color? And it looks great in the setting you've chosen.

Thought I'd repost my comments because I have a feeling you didn"t see my question haha!

HI:

Gorgeous!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

cheers--Sharon
