My Burma Myanmar gemstones :)

The cabs are soooo gorgeous! Will the roundish one also be a ring or a pendant (or convertible?).

Those cabs are amazing @Burmesedaze

The surprising thing about Pricescope is that everyone has some seriously fabulous, out of this world stuff that's so nice, you kinda just oogle at it and move on if it's not within your own reach! I pine a lot less than I thought I would!

No gallery pics but it's rather low set and plain, nothing fancy.

Bigger green will be a convertible. I just need to browse for more design inspo. The shoe just doesn't quite fit so far.

Mellow - my time is getting very limited so I'm just saving for the bigger ticket items now. Reckon they make better souvenirs of my time here!

Considering.... These :)

It's funny but after all of these threads and pictures of jade I have developed a preference. Before, it was 'oh that's pretty' or 'hmm not liking that', now I can actually say why I like or don't like. My taste runs a bit lighter than these, and a bit clearer. Not too much, just a little. @mellowyellowgirl's ring is this color, no? And hers has a bit more clarity? Also, the polish or sheen seems better on hers?

In no way shape or form am I saying yours isn't beautiful, they are! In fact, buy them and send them to me right now! I guess I'm rambling, but also grateful to all of the knowledge you guys have shared. I have one more stone in my sights, then I'm starting the hunt for a jade pendant.

How domey also affects the reflection from the polish :)

I prefer not to comment on PS on others' pieces so I shall keep mum on that.

Oops, sorry. :oops2:

These are lovely. Have you bought them?

Thanks so much for all your pictures, @Burmesedaze. I am amazed by the variety of lovelies you get to see and evaluate on a regular basis. I am nowhere near this kind of market. I really appreciate your sharing your experience with us!

The jadeite are to die for, aren't they? I hope you get them all.

Just this set for now. I'm travelling these 2 weeks for work so I've left it to my jewellers to negotiate on the sapphires but they are not perfect. So really depends if the price is right. They would be accent stones for the future.

The local lab memo for the small jadeite suite.

Helped a colleague get this bangle in Mandalay today. Has a lavender patch that isn't captured by my phone.

Meanwhile, in Yangon, a friend reserved this pair with my jewellers. Major drool!IMG-e36fe8283112e7c127caae684791cc08-V.jpg 20181110_090714.jpg 20181110_110122-1.jpg 20181110_090442.jpg 20181110_110126-1.jpg 20181110_110129-1.jpg

Oooh you lucky ducky!

Tsav???

Is big for a tsav!!!!!

Is it a demantoid? Or an unheated sapphire? I own lots of tsavs and demantoids. Possibly a tourmaline. How lucky you are! But your jadeite cabs, they are the best.

Mellow got it right :)

Will post better pics when I get it.

Chaik, what do you not have that is in the green family? :P

Meanwhile, over Viber, my jewellers convinced me to forgo the tiny blue sapphires posted earlier and negotiate for the bottom pair instead. Trader's start price is on the high side.

Tsavorites and demantoids. I avoid emeralds because of the treatments but I do love the glow of emeralds. I just cannot bring myself to buy emeralds because I know it is filled with oil or resin.

And jadeite and chrysoprase. I love chrysoprase, if they are the right translucency. Very affordable and can look a million dollars in the right setting.

But I want to buy a huge cab like your jadeite - so so beautiful.

You went to Asiatique!!!!

Yes I definately saw the ring in real life! I thought it looked familiar when you posted the first pic.

That is an amazing set. Just gorgeous! So well matched and fabulous colour!!!!!!

Haha I love how you're realistic and "low buy" instead of "no buy"

Bingo! I'm surprised you didn't get them and left them behind for me. They are GREEN and HALOed.

Haha I was playing in your turf and focusing on pinks instead.

Funny you bought these. Weeks ago I was doing chores and had these random thoughts. One of them was "I wonder how much Burmesedaze likes green besides jade."

Question answered

Actually, not a lot. I prefer lighter seafoam greens. But then I realised I don't have a lot of greens!
