I understand what you are describing about the color of the pendant, and how the design can remain obscure without stronger body color. I think that's wise because it might bother you eventually and then the money is already spent.Bluegemz, after sleeping on it I decided to forgo the jade carving. I think I'd only like to ultimately get a couple and I'd prefer stronger colours, otherwise the carving gets lost in relief when worn or viewed from afar.
Since you like coloured jade, I'll take some pics of the blue jade bangles they have in the glass cabinet that houses the pricey stuff when I go again. They are translucent water jadeite and blue with some grey, but it's a rich shade. But, way too small for my giant wrist. Also, out of my budget
What a great find! 30$ is fantastic!Thank you, Bluegemz, beautifully described by you
Not bad for a US$30 bangle! I don't usually like patterns but these white mists go well with the grey green that is semi translucent and give it an otherworldly look in total.

Isn't it amazing to see a nest of 'sister' bangles and to be able to choose one! the only experience I had was choosing a yellow/white bangle from 2 sisters. It was extraordinarily satisfying. Your bangle really shows why jadeite is so magical. There is so much poetry in jadeite, and so much complexity. Your bangle has an entirely rich mood/personality in it.My jeweller bought them as a lot of 8 bangles from the same stone from the trader hence the wholesale price. This was the nicest. The rest have more white in them
