I had to share a couple of pictures of my fur babies, from smallest and oldest(5.5 lb/12 year old) runty shih tzuto biggest (150 lb/16 month old) Great Dane. The middle child is a seven-year old German pointer. Not pictured is my socially demented chihuahahua-corgi mix. I believe she was finding a spot under the pool table to relieve herself at the time the group shot was taken.

OMG - That second photo SCREAMS mischief. That's the type of face my Sasha would make when she's feeling frisky.

Your cuties are just that! Thank you for sharing! That brightened my day.

Thank you! My Guinevere is definitely the rabble-rouser in the bunch! I took this shot at the front door when I got home a few months ago. It's nice to have a welcome-home committee!

They are adorable! Great Danes look so different (and darling) without their ears cropped. What a cute bunch!

Thank you all for the compliments on my kiddoes! I wasn't allowed to have pets growing up, so I made up for it as soon as I could! My family calls me the crazy dog lady.

We got our Dane right before the breeder had him scheduled to get his ears cropped. I can't imagine my big lug without those ears! We met the breeder halfway in Dallas. They were an older couple who had driven from Midland to bring the litter to a Dallas vet to crop all their ears. When we met them in their hotel room (I still can't believe we did that), they had EIGHT great Dane puppies in there with them. It was sheer insanity.

For you, Maisie! Our pointer, Max, does not know he is a dog. When we take them to the dog park, he will have nothing to do with other dogs. My husband thinks he's an alien in the guise of a dog learning our human ways.

Here's another of my little one-eyed shih tzu. She lost her left eye about 4 years ago. I came home from dinner one night, and she ran to greet me at the door and press her little pink squeak bunny on my leg. I remember looking down to grab the bunny and all I saw was her eye bulging out of its socket, looking like it was about to fall out. It was the most horrible moment of my life. I had just moved to a new state and had to turn on the computer to google map the nearest emergency vet. We spent all that summer trying to save the eye, but it was causing her too much pain, and once the vet determined she had no vision in that eye, we removed it.

She has no idea she's one-eyed. Even before losing her eye, she was a little bit of a goofball, always running into walls when chasing her toys. As far as what caused her eye injury, I'll never forget what the vet told me. She said that dogs with shallow eye cavities are prone to this, especially as they get older. She told me she could have "sneezed the wrong way" and it could have happened. She's also a jumper, so she might have landed hard when she jumped off the back of the sofa.

It really freaks me out to think it could have happened that easily. Now whenever she's not getting her way, she opens up her right eye as wide as possible while she's barking at me. She's figured out that's the way to get me to cave quickly.

Our chihuahua mix as a foot fetish. Seriously. All the dogs walk very cautiously around her and keep their paws as close as possible to themselves. The pointer looks like he is tapdancing whenever he has to walk around her.

Last Halloween, I tried to dress the dane up as a lobster. This year, I couldn't find a costume large enough. Next year he's going to go as a school bus, if I can make the costume.
