I should start out by saying that this project started with a glass of wine and a quick spur of the moment purchase. I have never considered a transitional diamond because I love the Old Euro small tables and higher crowns. However, something drew me in and I went for it. I am so grateful that I did it! It is a breathtaking stone. It doesn't light up in a flower pattern but more of a checkerboard. It is continuously shimmering and flashing colors. It actually was hard to photograph because just the light coming through the trees with a breeze set it off sparkling like crazy. I don't even notice the lower crown because it's just constant movement. I can't believe I never looked at transitionals before! I do not run across a lot of them.

Sorry for the book.....here are the details.....

3.53 J VVS1 Transitional Cut Diamond set in a 18k Yellow Gold Octagonal cup Victoria setting. The rubies were custom cut for this piece and are French Cuts. I opted for a brighter red because they would be bezel set. I took some photos but didn't have much time because we have family in town. I will definitely post more later on this thread. I can't wait to figure out her personality and to be able to get some time to play with her in the garden with my camera. My family would not understand. Pretty sure I got some side eye when I took a picture earlier .

May I ask where you found this stone? IE. Was it just luck?
