I just got the call that she''s finally here!!!! Made an appointment for next Tuesday to go for fitting numero uno

In a panic, I just ordered 4 more shoes from Zappos, this time flats, so that I can make a quick decision as she wants me to bring my shoes with me.

I already love my Nina slides (and may find a way to justify keeping them in any case
38.gif
) but figured these cute silver flats may also do the trick. Take a look.......

Oh......by the way..........I literally did a little dance when I got off the phone with the bridal shop

I think these (Soho Lab''s Presh) are just adorable with thier little mary jane-like strap. Cutouts may prove to be too cutsey, tho and I really wanted an open-toe to show off a pedicure.....

These are basic and flat and sliver. I don''t think I''ll love the boxed toe as I prefer a rounded toe to make my feet seem less huge but we''ll see......

These are Dollhouse''s Primeira

And these are Nina's Smile (cute name, huh?

). I actually do not like how they look in the pic very much but I'm hoping they look pretty on some feet. (I have horrible imagination when it comes to shoe styles I haven't tried on before). But these do have the open toe and are flat and are silver. By all accounts, should be a winner.............

Glad your dress came in! I gotta say, I still love those Nina slides...

Last, but perhaps not least, are these NYLA Charli''s. I''ve never heard of the brand before, not that I''m brand loyal anyway, but the reviews aren''t that great for comfort for these. These are another pair I threw in my shopping cart at the last moment because its a style I normally do not gravitate towards. But I do like the really open toe (more open than the peep toe up above and I like it more open).

So, any comments or experiences w any of these shoes or brands would be helpful. I''ll get them tomorrow (LOVE zappos, man!!) :)

Oh, me too, my friend, me too

I actually do not have a pair of silver slides in my repetoire right now so I''m justifying keeping them no matter my decision in the end

I would NOT recommend these shoes for your wedding! I bought a pair of the Dollhouse ballet flats in burgundy and though they would be so great. I was wrong! My feet hurt so badly. I had blisters on my heels as well as on my little toe. Since the front of the shoe isn''t rounded, there isn''t a whole lot of room for your toes to fit.

Hope your shoe searching goes well!

Ooops, I only meant don''t get the dollhouse flats. All the other shoes look like they would be great!

Okay, thank you for the heads-up!! Did you wear them around the house a bit before your big day? I'm wondering because I think I would have to do that no matter which shoe I picked. My feet are used to flip flops so any material touching any part of my feet other than in between my toes needs a breaking in period

ETA: I just re-read your post and realize you did not wear these flats for your wedding day.

I actually wore them to work one day. I work in retail, so I spend about 7-10 hours a day on my feet. I don''t know that you will spend that much time wearing them on your wedding day. It was about 3 hours into wearing them that my feet began to hurt. I have worn them since for shorter periods of time and my feet didn''t hurt too bad. I feel like every time I wear them, they stretch a little bit and get a little bit more comfortable.

They are just too cute though!

I have a pair like these in black. They are super cute and they are comfy for short term wear. Mine gave me lil blisters on my toes the first few times, but not after I broke them in. BUT I will say that they are NOT good for walking around in/dancing. They have offer no support for your feet whatsoever. I wore them around for several hours one time, and they made my feet ache so badly, and my legs ended up sore as well from lack of support. It''s basically like walking barefoot all day (Which isn''t fun on hard floors). I don''t think that "breaking them in" before hand can remedy that. I will say that I did buy some arch support inserts, and I tried them with the doll house shoes, and it makes a big difference. If you do try them, I would recommend you try adding cushioning.

On another note, I think that the NYLA Charli''s look adorable.

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! I remember how excited I was when my dress came in! Congrats

Congrats on having your dress come in!

As for the shoes, I like the first pair a lot but can you post another pic of your dress? Sorry, I can''t remember it.

But I still like the pair from yesterday the most so far.

Take pics at the fitting!!

Fancy~ Good point about having no support in those shoes. However, I wear flat flats all the time and all day most of the time for school, work, whatever, and I never notice an issue. I''m hoping that means I don''t need much in the way of arch support. I will definitley keep this issue in mind, though, when deciding. Thank you! Oh, and I''m really pulling for the NYLA''s to be really cute ON because they have all of the things I''m looking for.

RoseAngel~ Thank you!! I can''t believe I''m at that point in my wedding planning now where I must go to fittings!!! It''s a good feeling!!

Dixie~ Thank you, too!!! I agree with you; if judging from above pics alone, I like the mary jane flats the most. We''ll see later today if they are as cute in person! I think they''ll have to be pretty great tho, to beat out the NYLAs w/thier open toe and not to mention my Nina slides!!

My dress is Maggie Sottero''s Pia Maggie''s Pia. I believe the pic shown on her website is the ivory but mine willl be white. Here is a pic from a Knottie wearing the pure white like mine:

Congrats on your dress being in! I don''t know much about shoes, though, can''t help you there.

Well, the shoes have come...........and gone.

I didn''t like any of them. Even the kitten heel Nina''s. Those had a weird shape to them and made my on-the-wide-side feet look wider. The cutout flat was too cutesy and would look better with a very casual outfit. The dollhouse ballet flats were really cute but I really have my heart set on open or peep toe and in the end they ended up looking like plain everyday flats to me. The NYLAs were okay too. But the twist in the toe area, while pretty in the pics, looked kinda ugly in person to me, ended up looking too casual for some reason.

So.............unless I end up feeling like visiting zappos again tonight and getting a whole new slew of goodies by Monday then I''m sticking with my Nina Honey''s :) They are more money than I set out to spend for bridal shoes but because they are silver and not white, I will definitely wear these again :) We''ll see....................

Great dress! Do you have a DSW around you? I never thought much of them but then recently, have found quite a lot that I like there. After buying my shoes, I found a bunch there that I also liked. Of course!
20.gif

It does sound though, that you really do like that first pair, so I''d say just stick w/them!

WOW that is just a gorgeous dress....

Dixie~ I
30.gif
DSW as much as I
30.gif
Zappos! Alas, I did go to DSW and didn''t find much and it''s a 40 min drive so I''d just rather poke around on Zappos to see what''s new than trek up there every day (and then trek back to do returns) lol.

Firegoddess~ Thank you!!!!!!! I think the real woman up above looks so much better in the gown than does the model pic! And I love the tiered organza as it gives the impression that there are Swarovskis sprinkled just all over
18.gif
I just love it!!!
36.gif
And I have decided to not wear a necklace btw. The swarovskis are concentrated along the neckline of my gown and I just don''t see why I''d need more sparkle up there than that.

Wow, that dress is gorgeous!! So_happy, you''re going to look so beautiful!

P.S. I love your wedding date.

Awww....thank you! The Knottie in the pic has my coloring and we''re prob the same size give or take so I''m hoping I look as good as she does in it. I''ll go for my fitting on Tuesday and I hope they let me take pics!!! The tiers in the front continue around the back so the train is also diagonally tiered with crystals too :) It''s really flowy and just beautiful.

I think there is another PSer on here with my wedding date as an anniversary as well :) I take that to indicate good things :)
