My dress has arrived!

I just got a call from the shop and my dress has come in. That was FAST (to me anyway). I ordered it at the beginning of July and I wasn''t expecting it to be ready for months still. I have to say that although I''m pleasantly surprised to learn that it''s ready, I don''t want to pick it up. I don''t want to have to deal with the possibility of it not fitting. My measurements were taken but what if I''ve gained weight? I''ve been doing so-so with my diet and exercise, so big surprise, I haven''t lost anything. Normally I''d take my mom with me to have a first look at the Zoe-sized dress (taken up like you wouldn''t believe

), but I can''t face her if it doesn''t fit. That was weird, I was okay at the beginning of this post and now I feel

. I didn''t mean for that to happen.

*sniff* Thanks ladies!! Sorry for the pity party. I am looking forward to seeing it and I know I have to try it on someday, right? Okay, you''ve convinced me. Go get the dress, put it on, SMILE, and take a picture for you guys. No big deal.

If you dont take any photos - and I dont care how much you weigh or if you gained 10 pounds or 10 ounces - I''m gonna find you and spank you, and not in a good way either!

Seriously, dont psych yourself out. You have plenty of time to get down to whatever weight you want to, right? Just dont forget to bring your underpinnings with you. You know, those super duper fat holder-inners? Yeah, those. Spanx or whatever your pleasure is. Just make sure you bring them with you because they make a huge difference! Or, if the bridal shop has a wide variety of ones you can try on with the dress, even better because then you can see which styles work best with the dress (ie: corsets vs. Spanx bottoms and separate bra, etc.). Enjoy the experience zoe. That''s an order!

I know, I had a brief pity party but it''s over now. I''m gonna get some major sucker-inners and put that dress on. Yes, I''ll smile and take a pic...and I''ll even post it.

Don''t worry Zoe!!! i''m sure everything will be great!! But I know what you''re feeling. my dress is suppose to come in next month and I am so nervous to go see it again! Nervous it won''t fit, nervous i won''t like it as much as i did when i bought it, nervous...well just nervous!!!

I know it can be tough thinking about all the negatives but what about the positive ones? What if it looks more awesome than you remember?? I''m sure it will be great plus it will renew your faith in the fact that you chose a dress you love!

Although I agree with Surfgirl, if you dont come back with pictures we are going to riot!

But in all seriousness, I think every bride goes through that "I just dont wanna know" phase. And any alterationist will tell you- once you start altering the dress DO NOT LOSE ANY MORE WEIGHT! That always makes me feel better to hear
