My dress is in!!

Yay! For those of you who remember my dress saga, (here is the original link) I ended up choosing the silk Paloma Blanca and after much debate, finally ordered it through rkbridal.com. Now I have to say I was a bit skeptical about the whole online ordering thing, but my cheapness won out and I took the plunge- and I have been VERY happy with the results!! The customer service at RK has been way better than I expected - my dress actually came in months ago, but it had some flaws on it (a pull across half the train) and I was very worried about sending it back, etc.. but Reed (the owner) had NO problem w/sending me a shipping label, I sent it back for free, and a new one was ordered and sent to me this week! And the new one is perfect! It''s actually way big for me, I should''ve ordered a size down, but oh well...

So I would definitely recommend RKBridal to anyone - they always pick up the phone, and are super efficient. And I paid about 1/3 less than retail! Wow I am starting to sound like an ad for them... so I will stop.

I have some pics of the dress on a hanger right now but I need to upload them. No pics of me inthe dress yet - I''m going to wait til my parents come up next week for THanksgiving and they will take some pics for me... (all my roomies are guys and I feel very weird asking them to take pics of me in my wedding dress... I dunnos.)

and you shouldn''t feel weird about having the guys take photos- when I got married the first time I didn''t have any of the traditional people around me on my wedding day...my Mom was at her house getting ready, both my bridesmaids were having their own breakdowns. My sister''s bf at the time (now my bro-in-law) stopped by to drop off our bouquets and I was a wreck because how was I going to get dressed? He waited in hotel bathroom while I jumped into the dress and then came out to button me up

and he was so sweet about it, all nervous that he was going to get it all wrong!

fountainfairfax- what a fun story! I know I''m being silly but I just feel slightly embarrassed to ask my roomie to take pics of me in my dress just so I can post it online! hehe. Besides, keeping you all waiting is fun too!

icekid- I want more than one dress to! I hinted at getting both this dress and the lace one (the casablanca)since it wasn''t TOO expensive, and he immediately vetoed! Sigh... I thought it would''ve been a good reception dress or something... but I''m wearing my mom''s cheongsam anyway... I wish we had more opportunities to wear fancy dresses...

The dress is EXQUISITE!!! I absolutely love it! Are you wearing a veil? If so, what does it look like? I think a veil with a few swarovski crystals would be such an ice complement to the bodice.

Glad RK bridal worked well for you. I am looking into them and netbride. My dress is pretty expensive to begin with, but a $100 off is just that.
