IndependentGal: You're right, Iran is Persian, with a different language and customs, but still much of the traditions are very much the same. Also, Morocco, although in Northern Africa, is still considered by many, personally and politically, part of Middle Eastern territory.

Also, if this didn't come across, I wouldn't try to lump people into one group intentionally. I was speaking from my own experience and perspective.

My family is Persian, and I have Arab friends and have dated (briefly, the differences were too great) Arab men. While there are some similarities-- honestly there are less than you would think, in my experience. I have more in common with a good friend of mine whose background is Russian and Jewish than I do with my arab friends. Of course, my family left before the revolution and that could have something to do with it.

As for Morocco, I consider it an arab country, and have no problems referring to it, culturally, as 'middle eastern'-- but I've only met two people (young men) from Morocco so i would certainly differ to someone with more experience with the culture.

When I started reading this I just knew any minute you were going to come back and say you found out it was a joke and they gave u something wonderful. That not being the case all I can say is I''m so sorry! Cut your losses with these sisters! Only u know what your man truely feels, so on the relationship part, I''ll say take a long look at it, decide whats going on, and move on with your life. If he is the man you want then take him and leave the witches behind!! The best way to get back at any of them is for you two to be happy and love each other! That is really what they want for themselves and dont have and why they want to run u off!!
