My first CS pieces are finally done!

Guys, I'm so excited!! A million thanks for those who helped me on my hunt for a sapphire for a pendant, and advice on my custom garnet ring. I ended up getting both pieces done by Caysie at CvB Inspired Design, which were totally different designs than I originally envisioned, and I'm so happy I did. I don't have the pieces in hand yet, but the pics by Caysie are glorious ! Sapphire cut by Jeff White and mahenge garnet cut by Gene Flanigan.

One question... the Matt type of look is great. What is that metal finish called?

Thanks everyone!! I'm so thrilled at how they turned out, and especially what the pendant did for my sapphire. They should arrive today, so I will post hand and neck shots as soon as I can - although my photography skills will look atrocious compared to Caysie's .

I saw your ring on her IG - beautiful, like all of her work!
The sapphire is 1.94 ct. and 6.57 x 6.57 mm.
The garnet is 3.38 ct. and I think it measures 8-9 mm (I don't remember anymore and I don't have the original paper that Gene sent with it).

One question... the Matt type of look is great. What is that metal finish called?

It's called a brush finish - my engagement ring has the same finish and I've always loved it. They are both 18k unplated white gold/palladium.

Thanks guys!! I can't decide if it's an everyday kinda ring or just a special occasion ring. For now I think I'm comfortable with a business casual and above ring .

I have been dying to get something from Caysie. She's very talented- everything I see is so special! Hopefully one day I'll be able to get a piece... They're both gorgeous pieces, but that sapphire is absolutely stunning!
