So moh and I thought it would be fun to make the table numbers a bit more personal...here''s what we came up with (we are still working on gathering photos and stories from other members of bridal party so this is the first one :)

These will also give people who don't already know each other a starting point for chatting... beyond "isn't the decor beautiful" --"yeah."

Very clever!

Oh I absolutely love it Smurfy! Too cute! I may want to steal that idea from you, if you don''t mind!

How long did it take you to do the first batch and how many did you do in that time period?

Thanks everyone!!! I''ve only designed the first one on my computer using photoshop :) The idea right now is that we are going to print them out on cardstock and laminate (maybe? not sure about this yet if it will look weird) anyways and then find like a flower card stand to hold them up :) I did all the graphics and things myself in photoshop though

Adorable!!!!!!!!!!

My unsolicited advice -- laminating them will look cheezy. Print them on a nice, high quality paper or cardstock, glue them to a piece of matt board, and cut the edge with a good matt knife. You could probably bring them all to Aron Brothers or Michaels, and they could assemble and cut them for you and it wouldn''t cost all that much.

vr - that''s pretty much similar to what i had imagined i would do, i wonder if glue-ing something inbetween might make it too thick to put it a holder, ya know? Have you tried this before- better to learn from someone else whose made this mistake than to make it myself lol

Very cute!

I think that is the cutest idea ever! What a great conversation starter.

I smell a trend...

I haven''t tried it... I have played around with matt board, and it makes for a very nice presentation. A couple of thoughts for sticking your printouts to the matt board: 1) There is a spray-on glue that a lot of crafters use, I think photographers use it too. 2) use a heat-set adhesive -- years ago when I used frame-it-yourself places, they had used these sheets of adhesive that you basically ironed on. I imagine you could use wonder-under or any of the fusibles that you can buy in fabric stores, but you should experiment a little to see if the inks can withstand the heat. 3) Just use a glue stick -- I''m sure it''ll hold well enough for one night, or 4) take your prints to a frame shop and let them take care of the whole thing for you! If you don''t already have a lot of the tools you would need (some sort of matt board cutter -- figure at least $25 -- and a good straightedge or clear ruler, plus the adhesive) taking it to the pros might be the less expensive way to go. I think the matt will cost you pretty much the same either way.

Thanks for the ideas VR :) My BIL is an amateur photographer so maybe he could help me matte them as well, I''m glad I inspired some people haha!

Great idea! They will really break the ice with people that don''t know each other, and just encourage conversation in general. Well done!

Smurfy, if you want an easier way than cutting all the matte, you might think of gluing them to these. Just a thought!

Gorgeous!

Who else is going to write stories about you and your FI?

I love this idea! Your first looks great. How many tables will you need stories for?

We will have 24-25 tables total so each groomsmen and bridesmaid will write 2 stories and my moh will write 3 :)
thanks for the idea ilovesparkles, definitely will have to consider that :)
