IMG_1005.JPG IMG_0988.JPG ahhh .. I am super excited to show of my first tourmaline :mrgreen2: . I know it is on the softer side of the MoH and isn't exactly for daily wear but I just love staring at it ! I hope you enjoy the eye candy .

1ct diamond halo and shank
Size 5.5

I am super pleased with how it turned out .
 
Beautiful...I would be super pleased too...I love large pears set in a halo...the stone is a lovely green and great size too. Would love to hear more about how this ring came to be...was it custom? Who made it and where did the stone come from?
 
Not much of a story . My husband and I went to a gem show and found this one from I believe his name is Jeff white ( I am horrible with names ) . I had the setting done custom at a local family jeweler here in town . They have been around since the 1800's it's name is SE. Needham jewelers . I just fell in love with the pretty green color . My bday is in may but i knew how soft emeralds can be so I opted for this since it is also the stone of oct and that is the first time my husband said he loved me . It has been 10 yrs though almost 11 yikes ! Thank you both for taking the time to look and give me such nice compliments .
 
Oh, I wonder if it's our Jeff White (from the vendor list). He has gorgeous gems. :D I've always wanted to go to a gem show but I can never find one near me. So jealous.:lol-2:

The gem show was tons of fun I highly suggest if you can ever get to one to go ! Good question ? that would super cool if it was the same guy ! Thank you ! I love shape and cut and the color really draws you in with out being overbearing .

Thank you :rolleyes2: it was fun to put together I am pretty much a lurker but this forum has helped me so me so much ! i was a little worried the size would be too much for my hand but glad you all approve means a lot .

Thank you ! When I first got it I thought it might be a little much for my small hand so it makes me feel better you all like it so much !
