This post is long overdue, but my little one is napping so here it goes!
Some of you may have seen a listing on Loupe Troop a month ago for a Mahenge spinel ring. After a few email exchanges with the seller and drooling over the pictures, I decided to take the plunge and purchase my dream ring! I had been looking for a Mahenge spinel for many months. This one was the perfect size with a preloved price tag, so happy me
The Mahenge spinel was purchased from Jaimeen at PrimaGems by the original owner.
Specs: 2.24ct, 6.7x8.8mm.
The setting is an intricate vintage design with delicate milgrain, which I love
The spinel is neon hot pink indoors for the most part. The amazing thing is that it GLOWS in low light. Now I understand why others have been so enthusiastic about Mahenge spinels!!
In daylight outdoors, the pink gets a little lighter:
Next to Gene's YAG ring. The hot pink and teal make up my favorite color combo:
In sunset, the spinel shows warm notes of orange in certain angles but still mostly hot pink (sorry for my dry hands). I just love the surprise color change here:
Lastly, a shoutout to @suzanne2 - It was so pleasant working with you! I feel lucky to have this ring
