I am not an impulsive shopper, not one bit. My fiance will tell you I can't make a decision if my life depended on it. Today I came home and thought "hey, why not look for a wedding band on ebay?" It was simply a thought of a way to save money, and I didn't think he would consider it. Less than 45 minutes later, I did something completely not like me, and sealed the deal! I've never tried on a shared prong setting, so I'm not sure what I'm in for. I may need to find a spacer now, I'm a bit worried it may be a little rough on my engagement ring. I know on PS, large rings are part of the norm, but as a poor grad student, I never would have imagined I would end up with a .85 3/4 eternity band. Lucky for me its currently size 6.5 (hand in picture is not mine), so it will look even more like an eternity on my 4.5 finger :) I really hope I didn't make a poor impulse buy!!

Re: My impulse buy - 0.85 wedding band

I sure do hope it can safely be sized down two sizes! If so, it'll be lovely!

I'm hoping for that too, I have no clue how much metal needs to come out in order for it to be resized from 6.5 to 4.5 but its hope its not too much.

Pretty! And so sparkly! I love the scalloped look, where each diamond stands out on its own. Smart, too - I love the look of eternities but I'm too clumsy to wear one every day without worrying about losing stones.

My concern is whether it's sizeable to 4.5 without affecting the safety of the diamonds. What have people with more experience than me said about the subject?

I'm getting nervous now! Technically I will probably size it to 4.75 vs 4.5, but that's not too much of a difference. I'm hoping my jeweler can work magic. I hope others can chime in on this

Hi ylapis!! I'm going to stalk a few of your threads as I'm trying to find out some specs about your halo ring!! Hoping you see this :)

You could always size it down a little and then add sizing beads.
