Hi everybody! First off - I apologize for the two posts, I put the "add me" post in the wrong section. I''m still learning!
I am new and want to introduce myself. I first started looking at PS over the summer when my boyfriend said he was getting information from the Diamond forum… then I found LIW and BWW!
Anyway, we are both 22 and have been together for 3 years. While his friends have purchased rings for their GFs using credit cards or family''s money, it''s important to him to pay with his own hard-earned cash. So, earlier this year, he set up a separate savings account for my ring and we spent some time talking about what I like. I definitely want a princess cut solitaire and the best prices (and also, my favorite solitaire setting) are at James Allen. Of course it''s simple by PS standards, but to each her own - I attached a pic of the exact ring I want and think he''ll get!
We agreed on an ideal cut somewhere around 1-1.1 carats b/c my hands are fairly small (color/clarity/other specs, he will decide.) So…. I am really struggling with being patient but I keep myself busy with my job, friends/family, and of course doing some actual wedding planning. I could go on and on about what I want but will save that for later, more applicable posts
Basically, what I do know for sure is, we will get married in Spring/Summer 2010, have 150-175 people, honeymoon in NE Mexico (Punta Cana/Cancun resort area,) and my "vision" that so many women talk about is a fun, colorful, warm wedding day in which everyone is dancing, eating and drinking. I can''t wait!
Can''t wait to get to know all of you and ride along on this crazy, fun, and sometimes frustrating journey! I try to keep it all in perspective that in just a matter of months, I will be getting ready to marry my best friend and love of my life! So for now, I will just hang tight.
