Yvonne sourced this fab Muzo emerald for me. It’s 6x4 and .65cts, and has a really gorgeous presence. This little oval is the most perfect deep but not dark velvety green. It’s pictured with a larger oval Brazilian emerald, and my Muzo emerald Cab.

The pictures are so wrong! In some pictures, the Brazilian looks just like my new little oval, but in real life, they’re quite different. The Brazilian is a very nice grass green, whereas the Muzo little oval has that classic deep blue green color. It glows, but it’s not neon. The two muzo’s are actually a pretty similar color, but they feel so different because of the cab v faceted look. As much as I love cabs, and that’s a whole lot, I think I prefer the faceted Colombian emerald to the Cab.

Anyways - here are pics!C9AC321B-CC7C-45FA-B704-167BD0591C7F.jpeg

That sun picture is my favorite, I absolutely love the way this emerald looks in the sun. I can’t wait to get it set so that I can see it in different lights without looking through a gem box or teetering between my fingers.

It’s beautiful! I just know it looks way better in person (as emeralds are notoriously difficult to photograph). Yvonne has quite the eye for color so I know it must be gorgeous in person. Congrats!

Thanks @elle_71125! It’s so hard to capture emeralds in the pictures, and therefore it becomes harder to buy them too because you’re not totally sure of what you’re getting until it arrives
