So I apologise for those who have already seen these... but I finally got my package today with my new CVB handcarved emerald ring which I excitedly shared photos of in the Colored Stones forum a few weeks back as well as my Sophia and I really wanted to share with people who would understand!! Feel free to skip my raving on about Caysie and her team and move onto the photos :D

I did consider just adding these photos to the existing thread but that was mainly about the Isadora and not Sophia and I really wanted to show Sophia off a little more...

Let me say first of all that my photos cannot do justice to the work that Caysie's team has put into Isadora. The handcarving is RIDICULOUSLY delicate and detailed. And the setting actually GLITTERS- I think it's because of the contrast between the brushed finish of the uncarved bits of the ring and the super high polish of those areas which HAVE been carved. The variation in the metal itself catches light and actually sparkles.

When I first bought the emerald from Caysie, I had no idea what I wanted to do with it. She sent me a photo of a yellow gold handcarved setting she had been intending on setting it in. While lovely, it was a much heavier look (as my friend put it, it looked a bit like a 'mafia' ring lol). It took awhile to grow on me, and I told Caysie I wanted a 'lighter' look, to which she suggested some floral cutouts together with the engraving. The CADs which I'll include below were very plain, but I trust Caysie when it comes to understanding what I want... and I think she and her bench nailed it!! The emerald does have a small window but it does not appear to be very apparent when I wear it (did throw me off a bit when I first saw it).

I am struggling a little with the size of the ring as it is VERY substantial on my finger... but I'm sure that's something that I can get over, as a good pricescoper :D I can't even figure out which FINGER to wear the ring on right now. Is it weird that I can fit my rings onto 4 different fingers?

Sophia I bought during one of her LT sales so this has been a long time coming! I initially bought her on a whim to stack with my Alexandria band, thinking that it might be pretty (I already considered Alex my HG band). I was wrong. I LOVE the sophia!! She has a super low profile and is amazingly comfortable to wear- and the glitter of those teeny tiny little french cuts... omg. She is officially taking the place of Alexandria for awhile as my go to work wedding band.

I've included a 'family' photo of my little CVB treasures for good measure. There are more to come that are in the works (as there always seems to be when it comes to Caysie!!) but it will be awhile before THOSE projects are done... so here we go!!!

Thank you for indulging my insanity and photo heavy excitement!!!

Gorgeous! You've got an amazing collection!

But......I think you need a rose gold band too. Maybe another Sophia!

It never ends, does it? ;)

Gorgeous! Love them. I had a Sophia and loved it. It ended up being too small so I sold it to another PSer. Seeing your ring makes me think I want to order another one! So gorgeous. Can you show a pic of the Sophia stacked with the Alexandria?

Tophat, I certainly DO need some rose gold bands!!! I've never been a yellow gold girl, but Alexandria just NEEDED to be made in yellow gold in my eyes... and of course... to match, Sophia had to be yellow too! I've always been a rose gold kind of girl so I'm actually surprised I don't have one yet...

hathalove, do these help? :) I like how they go together, but aren't too matchy!

HI:

Gorgeous!!!!!

cheers--Sharon

Love all of your pieces!!! The hand carving is done really well and gives the Isadora such great presence!! And your stacking band collection is TDF!!!

Simply divine in every way! The details are stunning & the glow from that stone! Heavenly...

Oh my goodness! Yes. Stunning. I agree they stack perfectly and yet are very different. Thank you for posting the extra stacking pics. I love yellow gold on you. It pops and looks amazing. You definitely can rock it and should. What's your finger size for reference?

Beautiful intricate pieces! Caysie did such an amazing job on the detailing. And your center stone is stunning!!
Thanks for sharing your beautiful collection.

It is absolutely stunning!! Your CvB family is certainly drooolworthy! I have a feeling you'll quickly get used to the size of the ring! We all seem to do that pretty easily around here! Enjoy the newest additions to your collection!

Such a beautiful CvB collection. Her designs easily become a craving for that next project

wow that is one of my dream rings!!!! it's beautiful.. lovely...

What an amazing collection you have! Each one a stunning work of art and so rich and luscious in color and design! Enjoy and never apologize for posting too many pics! ;)

Congratulations Crystal!! The ring is gorgeous and the bands are TDF. They look so lovely together.

Holy moly  what a gorgeous collection you have! the detail on each band is amazing. And I LOVE your emerald - the setting really showcases that beautiful stone.
I think you need to post a picture of all those bands stacked - is that the riviera you've got there with sapphires?

I think I commented in your other thread but just couldnt pass up saying how beautiful it is! I love your CVB collection...I'm green with envy!

Thank you everyone for indulging my urges to show off my bling!!! your lovely comments make it all even better!

Foxinsox, yes that is the original riviera with sapphires and diamonds! I really love her riviera but the all diamond version was a little expensive for me so the French cut sapphires were a nice compromise!

Hathalove, my ring size is 4.5 for Isadora, Sophia and Alexandria. The Riviera and Bailey bands are a size 5.25 from memory as I wanted to wear them on another finger!

Brightice, you are totally right there!! I seem to constantly have at least one project going with Caysie. Every new piece that I get seem to inspire a need for yet another design... it's a bit worrying for my bank account!!!

I'm trying to slow down a bit and enjoy each new piece as it comes, so I've told Caysie to hold off starting my next new one for a few weeks (though there's already something ELSE in production)... but I have some exciting ones coming up!! can't wait till those are done so I can share them too!

Tyty, green is such a nice colour though... perhaps a new pretty green gemstone piece can help fix that?

Couldn't resist a few day time photos as they show the colour of the stone much more accurately than those taken yesterday night!! She glows!! :D

And it seems I'm already over the size of the stone. That didn't take very long. 10.5mm in a bezel now no longer looks too big to me... It sure doesn't take long for shrinkage to set in!

I love the pairing of the rose gold with the emerald

I'm enabling you - get a rose gold band from Caysie!

Beautiful, beautiful rings! You're so lucky to be able to wear a ring on different fingers - I have an onyx ring I move between different fingers but I have to use plastic ring sizers to help which slightly reduces the sophistication level!

I love your emerald on both fingers but the photo with it as a middle finger ring and the Sophia on your ring finger is probably my favourite. But stunning either way!

Love all your new rings, especially the emerald! How lucky that you can switch them between different fingers! I can't even switch my rings from hand to hand, totally different sizes.

That emerald ring is incredible! Caysie keeps making things that get added onto my wishlist! Your band collection is fabulous, too!!! I am another that keeps doing one project after another. I have to be glad Caysie is so busy or I'd probably go bankrupt!

Wow! That emerald ring is insane! Totally gorgeous. I am in awe. Love the band as well. Great pieces!
