Finally had my second diamond set. I went with the lovely Brian Gavin Diamonds tapered Tiffany setting in platinum. It's completely comfortable and so easy to wear. I can definitely see the difference in size between this stone and my previous 2.15ct H SI1, but I still think this is a lovely, understated size, and I'm planning on wearing it often. I'll start with the BGD glamour photos first.

I'll add a few photos of it with my other rings when I have some time. In the meantime - I'm very happy with this style, and very pleased I went with this choice. Lovely, elegant ring.

A beautiful classic ring will never go out of style!.. :appl:

lovely diamond i love the pink tint i detect in your first photo. Was that just something in the environment?

What a wonderful diamond in an elegant and classic setting. Congrats! Love that slight pink tint in the one pic!

Love this. It's simple and elegant yet has a substantial presence

What DF said! :sun:

So so beautiful, elegant and timeless, a real stunner!!! Would love some hand shots if you get a chance! :appl:

Thanks everyone :) I love this ring - it's the epitome of easy-to-wear.

Avenger386 - I took the photo in my yard under a rust colored market umbrella. I love a diamond's ability to pick up color - so pretty!

This stone came from Blue Nile and was originally meant to be a side stone. In the end I decided it would be the perfect size for my for a plain solitaire. It's a lovely stone - bright and lively with plenty of character!

Beautiful and classic. I love this setting!

This is just great! The stone is a beauty and the setting elegantly classic. It's so versatile, too, with stacking options galore! :naughty:

Simple. Elegant. Perfect. :appl:  :appl:

I absolutely love it! It is just so elegant.
Of course it is not a surprise that I love it, since I am still smitten with my little sister version to your classic solitaire. :-)

Please post hand shots. I hope to upgrade my stone to a similar size for our 15th anniversary and would love to see how it looks. I also look forward to seeing the band that you get to accompany your lovely ring.

You have such great taste in jewelry. I love all of the pieces that you have posted on PS! I am so happy that you, a yellow gold fan, are pleased with this ring in platinum!

Thanks Crystal!

I'll definitely post some combo shots with other rings when I get a chance. I have visitors at the moment and taking photos takes me ages because I'm so hopeless at it and have to take hundreds to get a couple of decent ones.

It would help a great deal if I had hands as lovely as yours, of course; I hate taking hand photos but will see what I can do.

When is your 15th anniversary? I can't recall, without searching PS for it, where you got your diamond from - was it someone who will do trade ups? I have to say, I think your ring is gorgeous and your combo with the plain wedding band just perfect.

When I get a hand shot or something with a plain band, I'll make a point to add it to your thread about solitaires and plain bands. :wavey:

So now I found where this beauty is! Honestly I went away and you went to town!!! We had a grueling overseas move... You sneaky, you had me believing you would take foreeever to set your diamonds!!! I love all of your choices. What an incredible collection you have. I do love this with your new DK band- he really did great work for you- the prongs on your AVR, the meticulous work on your new band- nicely done.

This diamond is gorgeous. Sweet spots on all the stats, and lovely in her pictures. Lucky you!

apacherose - An overseas move? Were you in the US originally? I hope you're finding your feet and meeting some agreeable people; it's touch being away from your nearest and dearest.

And now my three threads are all hogging the boards!! I might do a 'family shot' to get all the kids together!! Back in a bit....

Yay! A family pic of your beautiful rings would be great. Please come back soon :naughty:

Well, not busy this morning, so I did it right away. And here they are!

The first two were taken in my sunroom on my linen tablecloth.

How did I miss this thread? I am a sucker for a beautiful Brian Gavin solitaire and your latest version is another stunner! And the family shot is gorgeous. What a fine looking family you have there Mrs. Blop!!!

The next 3 are on my fingers, waving around in indirect light.
