MY NEW 2.2 F VS2 PRINCESS from GOG (lol...again!)

LOL....That is SO funny....But seriously, I have no patience!!!! I stalk him via email....I did feel a "cold" coming on, but then I looked at my schedule and it just sucks....They don't open til 10 and close on or before 6 these days! Argh!!!! But I'm SO taking the day off when they get back from vacation....I'm also scared! I HOPE it looks awesome in person....I am really weird and picky but Jonathan said it was "stunning" I believe...

It's beautiful, just like the last one. The only difference is you now have a 100% eye clean stone! In fact, I think this stone may be a tad nicer--the numbers just look better, and I LOVE the polish!

I also went back to see the other Princess, and from the pics, this one seems even more beautiful. MMM, I don't think you have anything to worry about!

LOL....J told me they were going jet skiing on vacation...I told him to expect me to zoom up on my own jet ski waving my laminated water proof gem appraisers cut chart in hand and asking questions..

MMM, I have to agree with Researcher here. That polish is simply stunning in that photo. I also have to say that I love RBs with Princesses a close second. I never felt that I knew enough to get a good one. You and Researcher are the queens of the Princess! Just have to say though, I think that you were absolutely right about the lack of a black contrast X in the middle. It really does make for a delicious Princess. I totally love your new baby!

Congrats on a brilliant find. Keep us updated on your project. I'll be dying for photos of the finished ring.

This was the stone you were MOST excited about from the beginning, so you really should congratulate yourself on being the one to know it would be the perfect stone from the start! And if you don't want to see a lot of black in the stone, wear white today! I've noticed that the times I think I'm seeing black/dark in my stone it's just a reflection of what I have on or what's around me. The ONLY reason you're seeing black in the picture Jonathan took is it's reflecting the camera, so no worries! Be sure to post when you get home tonight--I can't wait to hear what you think of the stone in person!!!

I'm back and I saw it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The problem is.........the lighting SUCKED...Actually, there were no lights...lol......It was nice that they let me come e/t they are not taking appointments for that reason I'm sure....

I wish I could be more excited but it's SO hard to tell under that lighting. It is a beautiful stone! But I have no idea if I can see the inclusions b/c it was so dark...you know when the stone scintillates and the stone gets dark? Not the best time to look for a dark crystal...I THINK I did see something once...but maybe I'm crazy...I just am so torn. Very visible smack in the middle of the white X under the loupe....I can see a faint cloud through the pavillion...I don't care. I just don't want to spend 3500 more for a Vs2 that looks the same face up as the si1 !!!!!!!

The bottom line is that I'm going to buy it 99% and take a final look at it when I go back after their vacation to pay for it!

I am such a drama queen...

Hey there, moremoremore ~ I’ve been on the road for work and just got back to the PS website today. Boy, have I been out of the loop!! I have been so absorbed in my own quest, that I didn’t realize that you were on your own mission . . . Can I just tell you, it’s been a regular riot to read all the posts on this thread!! I thought I took the prize for freaking-out lunacy, but I see I have a very close contender!! You make me feel so normal! God luv ya!

Now, about the stone…I almost choked! That one’s going to leave a mark! It’s beauteous! I really, really hope all the feedback from your pals on this forum has helped to soothe you. I know how hard it is to let go of the minute details that keep bouncing around in your head like a ping-pong ball. Just try, try, try to get a grip though, ‘cause when I finally find my stone (which, by the way, will be a miniscule spec compared to yours) I’m gonna need some moral support from you!)!!

I constantly look for perfection in EVERYTHING, and forget along the way that there are other things to consider in the big picture. It’s not life or death – this thing is completely reversible if it’s not right, eh?? I bet ya, though, that it’s all going to turn out just fine – give that rock some room to express itself – we all want to be loved FOR our flaws (if we actually have any)!

Life never works out that way. So here you sit and stew some more. I feel bad for you, I really do.

dose jon still have thee si1 stone ? maybe you can compare this vs2 side by side to see if you can see the difference.

yep, i can see that IF or VVS stone comming towards you,let me check the vegas odd's again,you say 99% sure welllll...there is still that 1% ,i can see jon's knee really shaking now..LOL.

LOL...I truly am crazy!!! Carmel- if you need ME for moral support....you are in big trouble...but I read your other post about your stone and you are in GREAT shape!

It is just SO weird that I found a Vs2 with the SAME exact inclusion as the Si1...which is long gone!!! It's smack in the middle of one of the arms of the white X....The si1 had much more visible through the pavillion....so I'm thinking that this is the same freakin thing I'm going to see face up and that's why it's a vs2 and not a si1...

I'm really not too worried...I'll see it again...if I can see the inclusion I won't get it and then I'm on a diamond vacation. Not the end of the world... I just can't take it anymore!

And Jennifer....I really do think rounds are SO much easier...I just may have to investigate the rounds after this!
