I like the spessarite!
Yes, it''s a pad (and what brought me to this forum in the first place, lol). It''s a tiny guy at just 5mm, but I''m so in love with the color and sparkle! Yay for small gemmies!Date: 4/9/2009 10:23:30 PM

I like the spessarite!
It has a gorgeous burnt orange look until the light hits it - then it lights up like a disco ball!
And I LOVE the stone in your av! Pad?
I love the inclusions in this one. Sort of looks like creamer mixing with the purple stone.Date: 4/9/2009 9:22:02 PM

I''m getting a ridiculously good price on these. I''m paying for each one that I want to keep - the ones I don''t want will go back - and they range from $20-$100. (The most expensive is the aqua.) I would probably never find stones this well cut or pretty in that range, or at least not that I have seen. The fact that most of them are pretty big carat-wise really appeals to me, too. I like big stones but they are usually too expensive for me.Date: 4/10/2009 4:01:22 PM

Macro shots are great MP!
At the risk of sounding like a party pooper, hopefully you didn''t pay much? I think a few of them are quite pretty. There are others that look like there have quite a bit of extinction. If it was an awesome price for some pet rocks, I think it''s a cool deal. If you might be able to buy a nicer quality stone that really speaks to you for the price, that might be an option too.
But I''m curious for both you and Freke...this sounds like a neat idea. Do you have to buy the entire parcel, or can you pick and choose and then send back for a refund on the rest?
That''s great you get to pick and choose. Then I agree, it sounds like a fun way to go!!Date: 4/10/2009 4:16:13 PM
