Hi All,

Just sharing the video from Jeff. It was the first time I've commissioned a gemstone from rough. I've extremely happy with the results. Specs are 1.32ct and 7.44mm x7.44mm. Jeff does beautiful work! Not sure what I'm doing with it yet. I have 2 diamond pears (.33ct each), one of which was my original engagement ring, so I think I'd like to incorporate those either in this ring, or with the lab emerald from Precision Gem. Decisions, decisions!

Lovely stone, thanks for sharing!

That’s gorgeous! I love watching it move.

Pretty stone! I can't wait to see what you do with it.

That’s a very ruby looking rubellite! I would never think it’s a tourmaline. Lovely stone. Looking forward to your setting it.

Make sure you show us pics when you get it set! How were you thinking of setting it?

Thank you all. I was thinking a pendant, but could be a ring. I have to look around for ideas. Whichever way I go, I was thinking of a ring halo (I don’t know the correct term) where the melee is not butt up against the center stone.

I also have 2- .34ct pears that I could use as side stones if I go for a ring, maybe with melee on the shank as well?? I’ll take my time finding something. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I’m looking online now and liking the idea of some delicate leafy diamond vines around it. I’ve been inspired by @Rons Wolfe new ring design, but nothing quite as elaborate and I’m leaning towards pendant.

Hi,

I am so impressed with the color of this rubelite. It is the only stone I could be tempted to buy. To me, that is top color. It looks like a fine ruby. I have seen others on here that also look fine. For many yrs I did not see a one.
Treasure it!.

Annette

I really love this.
It’s so pretty its colour looks as though it sings.
Reminds me of a sweetie I used to have as a child but I can’t put my finger on what it was. It’s delicious!

An air line/gap halo?

This is my own Rubellite 9mm in diameter from Jeff W in an air line/gap halo:

That's a fantastic round and the color is amazing! Is it a sun sparkler? It's the perfect size! It looks like one of my spinels. I'd love to see more pictures when you get it:love:

I'll try to get some photos this weekend. It's been gray and rainy lately, but next week looks promising.
