My new Sapphire!

So I just bought this 2.65ct 10.3x 8.3x 3.5 VS1 Deep Blue Sapphire.

I just wanted to show it off!

Hope you all like it! Also does anyone have any ideas on how to set it? Ring or necklace?

I actually found it on Ebay...

As soon as I opened the box, I fell in love!

I was thinking and E-W design, but I haven''t found anything that really jumps out to me...

Kim Wheeling at jewelryrings.com has a lot of antique reproduction settings - they look kind of rough but click on the setting and you''ll see examples of set stones.

James Meyer has some gorgeous pieces (rings and pendants) - I imagine you can get custom work done with your sapphire. I have a teeny .38 ct old mine cut diamond that is looking for a home, and I just emailed him for more information on a setting.

I don''t know what your preference is, but it''s fun to shop!

Yeah, I love how the sholdt one looks, and the pave version too! (I think I made a typo before and mentioned the plain one twice, the pave is R415 - 15PD)
