Well, I recieved my superbcert diamond ring from AGA today and it is absolutely gorgeous!!! I haven't had my ering on my finger for about three weeks, so of course the 2.03, G, SI1 looks HUGE on my finger. I think the light performance on this one is even better than my previous stone, the 1.52, H, VS1.
Thanks to all those who gave feedback on my other post...i was really concerned about the inclusion..as I've never had or seen a diamond this size with SI1 clarity ranking. I've decided that it was "mind clean" enough to go ahead with it, and I am soooo glad I did!! I first tried to locate the inclusion without the loupe and I could not see it even right up my eyes, face up and pavilion side. I got the loupe out and sure enough, it was there. I tried to locate it again without the loupe, and honestly, I still can't find it!! The crystal is dark, however it is very very small so I cannot locate it without the loupe. Under overhead white light, I think I caught a glimpse of what looked like a tiny, tiny fleck of dust but this was after staring it at about a minute, and when I looked away and looked at it again, couldn't find it.
This is so exciting for me..I now have a stone that I can identify with a loupe but cannot see the inclusion with a naked eye what so ever. I have excellent eyesight even though I am in my early thirties
.
I am a clarity nut and thought I would prefer clarity over color. I am so glad I decided to go with th G and lower clarity against the "I" and VS1. This puppy is sooo white!! Yipeee!!!
Thanks to Jennifer, Vtigger, MMM, Reeena, Al, Mara, quaeritur, cflustist, val,Kam...all those who helped me through this process, and Kayla17 for her advice on setting, etc. I've decided to have Chris at AGA have their jeweler extend the prongs while I find the pave setting I want to ulitmately set this in.
Finally, a huge thank you to Chris Di Camillo at AGA...he is awesome!!
And lastly, sevens one..here is the pendant pic I promised you...it's 0.62, I, SI1 in a three prong basket setting
Here are some pics!!
