Well, not totally new. As some of you know from my other threads, DH and I have been working for the past few months on cleaning out his Aunt''s house and renovating it to sell to pay for her Assisted Living. One of the treasures we got was DH''s grandma''s treasured Tiffany lamp! (Sorry; not a ring! That''s why it''s here in hangout...
) I don''t actually know if it is a real Tiffany - we forgot to look before we put it together for a stamp or something.
DH''s aunt never totally settled into her house that we''re cleaning, so she didn''t even have the shade with the base. We had seen the shade in various locations in her house, just sitting on a table or something, and I wasn''t all that impressed, but when we finally unearthed the base and put it together we loved it! Her mother (DH''s grandmother) must have bought it in the 1920''s. In this picture it is sitting on the buffet she also bought in the 20''s. Not its final home but it works for now. And that is DH''s grandmother in the picture. For those who saw the jewelry thread and wanted to see her whole photo, there it is - albeit small.
