My "New To Me" Antique Kite Shaped Diamond RHR

Hello all!!!

Just wanted to share and show how excited I was to be able to acquire this beautiful ring. It just arrived to me on Wed. I just love the antique marquise center. Nothing big, but oh so lovely. These antique diamonds are gonna drain my bling fund sooo dry, but at least the sparkles and details do cheer me up. The ring is platinum topped 18KYG.(Please ignore my horrible nail polish for you viewers that are very keen on those things...I will redo them, I promise.)

I am definitely enjoying it. I have decided to put a ring guard on it if I want to wear it on my right ring finger.

Just wanted to give a little more background on the ring in case anyone is curious about some of the details. I found this beauty on Etsy from the shop called GoldAdore. The old cut marquise is probably around 40 points (estimated to be J VS1) and surrounded by old cuts too. The listing mentioned old mine cuts, but could probably be tiny OECs. I shined a UV light on it and the marquise seems to have a faint fluorescence and a few of the surrounding stones have fluoro too. The shank appears to have been rebuilt so it is not thin at all and in need of repair. Here are some more pics to show off the culet and let you see the profile, which is low (reminds me of a UFO ). I will have to try and take more artistic pics later.
