Here are some of my favs from London!
The first pic is Bulgari’s special edition of Serpenti for Harrods’ 75th anniversary. Had a lovely conversation with Thomas, who showed me the prices in detail.
Emeralds from Lorraine Schwartz, shown to me by Kayla.
The ring on my finger is 300,000 pounds.
Yesterday I went to the Burlington Arcade. My fav was Hancock’s, which carried some beautiful Colombian emeralds.
Thank you for sharing the eye candy with us!
I'd take Minerva over the Lorraine Schwartz anyday
This tiara is magnificent. I had the pleasure of seeing it at Sothebys during the Queen’s platinum jubilee celebrations. The juicy emerald cabs had me drooling.Haha, @Pomelo and @mellowyellowgirl you are both too kind, I do muss having Minerva around to compare with all these emeralds I am seeing.
Went to Kensington Palace for the Crown to Couture exhibition. These are Queen Victoria’s emeralds. The tiara is glorious!
Thank you, @cushioncutnut for liking all my posts! So kind of you.
Yes, I am lucky to see all these jewels. Being a gem lover and PS member has given my travels more depth and thematic experiences
Sending you some flowers from London, and a bouquet of gems collected by Arthur Charles Davy Paine (for whom painite was named.

If I may share fun facts with the PS crowd: this tiara has historical significance - designed by Prince Albert for Queen Victoria, it was made in 1845 by Joseph Kitching for a princely sum of £1,150 (£180k in today’s terms).
As we’re all jewellery nerds and love the stats, feast your eyes on this (from the Sothebys website):
Designed as a tapered openwork band of scroll motifs set with cushion-shaped diamonds and decorated with step-cut emeralds in gold collets, surmounted by a graduated row of nineteen inverted pear-shaped emerald drops weighing (from the centre) approximately 15ct, 12ct, 12ct, 8ct, 8ct, 6ct, 6ct, 5ct, 5ct, 4ct, 4ct, 3.5ct, 3.5ct, 2.5ct, 2.5ct, 2ct, 2ct, 1.75ct, 1.75ct respectively, inner length approximately 455mm.
Not at all, dear @mellowyellowgirl. Glad you like the site. Yes, that is a showstopper, isn’t it? I admit I viewed it a few times It matches my new jellybean earrings. I shall have to stop thinking about it.@Crimson didn’t want to derail the other thread so I hope you don’t mind me dragging you here!
