I just love this Maggie Sottero dress, shown in ivory and that''s what I''d want. Looks like we are getting hitched outside around 8pm in August and this is a nice cool dress. This is my 2nd wedding and I feel this is perfect for me. Not too frilly, princessy, etc. The only thing I''m not crazy about is the plunging back. I''ve never liked my back, which I know is silly because it''s fine. I have a little scar from a mole removal. I''m sure no one would even notice it. Then again, I''m self-conscious about it. I don''t really feel like wearing a veil either. I would possibly consider wearing a simple one with some length. Any suggestions?

Here''s the back.

First off, beautiful dress! Secondly, could you have them add a panel in the back for coverage? I know you said you liked that it''s simple but I think if you could have them add some kind of simple lace panel to the back it would look lovely, or really whatever kind of fabric you like, I''m just thinking lace might look like it belongs there?

Otherwise, if you do wear a veil and you''re thinking it''ll cover what your self conscious about, would you be keeping the veil on during the reception? because thats something to consider too.

I''ve got three little scars surrounding my shoulder from a surgery I had this past November, I''m hoping they''ll fade a bit by September but I''m still super self concious about them and not wanting them to be visible, so I know a bit where you''re coming from on that end.

I have a little scar on my back too. Right smack between my shoulder blades. I was gonna cover it up with some good concealer. That should work for you too.

One good one is Dermablend. My mom has a birthmark on her face and she uses this on it.

Courtney -- What a lovely choice! That dress is absolutely beautiful! It is classic, elegant and looks as though it will be quite flattering.

Fantastic choice!

Ditto Goldenstar's "dermablend" suggestion.

Thanks everyone. I think I would go without a veil and I should look fine. Especially with a nice tan and coverup on the scar.

I have an appointment with a ceremony/reception site tonight! I''m very excited about it!

We want to get married in the Courtyard...it''s got to be just beautiful with the candles on the waterwall all lit up.

have you seen casablanca style 1831? it is very similar, but the back is straight across and higher.

that''s a beautiful dress-panelling would be good at the back if you''re looking to cover it up. Wow-I love that dress
