My Oval.

More that I love..........

I think this would look really pretty for my oval. I have no idea who it belongs to or what the designer is. I just know I really like it.
The engraving is exactly the same as the Timeless Design rings.

Okay I am loving this entire thing, the e-ring and the band. :naughty: so nice. I especially love the milgrain around the bezel

Nope he no longer makes settings for outside stones. :(sad

I think a bezeled Julia with millgraining would be quite similar, and you could get a band like that

The only thing with the Julia is how it's smooth around the bezel and the milgrain/pave is more on the side. I sent a message to see if it's possible to have the milgrain around the bezel on the top like the Astin ring, but I am then not sure of what the side would be?

as is or with the halo you like

I think this ring belongs to Dreamer _D... she might have a thread on this beauty

Yes, finger coverage is what many of us are longing for... so much to choose from... so mamy beautiful designs, huh?

I will stay tuned! If only Timeless would come up with a CAD for your oval soon!!!

What do you think of this?

It's pretty but not for me :)

I looked around for the Dreamer ring and stumbled upon Hugo Kohl Vintage Filigree Rings and Jewelry. They have half rings that they sell....what!!!??? :naughty: I found these two that I thought are pretty, I have no idea how it works but I thought it was interesting.
Thought I would post just to show everyone. Has anyone ever seen something like this, or has anyone ever made their ring this way?

Is it just me... or does that look like a thong??

I have NEVER heard of purchasing a setting based on the 1/2 process --- is this a new thing? It is ... um.. 'unique', to say the least! Is it an option to buy 2 different designs that fit together??? wow - confusing!

But still --- I just see a thong.

I also see a thong, or a cross when I first saw them. :D I have no idea if it's a new thing or a thing at all. You wouldn't buy one of each you would buy two of either picture, then together it is a entire ring. They are the shank of the ring and half of the area where your diamond sits....(I think). I just thought they where pretty.

Definitely a very pretty design ,for sure! I like the second one- it seems more soft and feminine and the other seems more medieval. What site did you find these from? It would be neat to see the selections.

I'd go with the Fi.Z halo with a tapered band with engraving and milgrain and I'd definitely work with Quest. It has been proven that they do beautiful work based on pics floating around Pricescope and since they are the best for your budget, it would be a no-brainer for me.

+1... i might also consider adding baguettes sense youre really into those, but i think this is a case off too much of a good thing. Its like trying on a wedding dress, you find one you love you should just stop shopping

Sometimes ya just don't wanna stop shopping... cuz that is a big part of the fun!!!

Went to check out my options. Could get a round 1.06 ctw for the Timeless Design ring. Or this 2ct cushion diamond set in the ring with the yellow diamond (Mini version of Carrie Underwoods ring) Or I could get a custom ring for my oval like the Carrie Underwood ring.

photo_19_0.jpg

Do you like that "carrie underwood" setting? If so, I think it would give you plenty of coverage with the oval! For some reason, that cushion did not seem to photograph well... I personally prefer the more. rounded shaped stones than the a angular squares and rectangles, but that's just me.

Otherwise, I think that round with your timeless design would be really pretty... you seem to always be going back to that setting! :wink2:

I like the Carrie Underwood ring, but its not something I can't live without.Plus having it custom made for my oval is a little more than I wanted to spend right now. So I am going to look at a 1.5 round and also check with Timeless Designs if it would work with the baguette ring.
I went to the mall for the second time and was so close to trading my diamond, but I just could not do it tonight, something is holding me back. I have a few days to think about it. Timeless Designs can send me the sample ring when they get it back from Las Vegas so I think that would be a good idea to look at in person again.

Here is one more option for my oval. I have always loved this ring. And since I'm having such a hard time with finding the right halo maybe this would be a good option?
p.s. This is the last ring I am posting as an option.

This is a very tasteful design indeed. I personally would still go for a bezel set oval halo with diamonds as you originally thought... but put it on that ring and poof! Perfecto!

I have always liked that JbEG non-diamond halo setting. I think that would be lovely for your oval and would leave you with lots of options for your wedding band.

I have a JbEG Lisa setting with a smallish antique oval and it's a beautiful, well-made setting. I don't think you'd go wrong with the JbEG one.

I went and looked at the F color 1.5 ct RB. I must admit it is very pretty. More so than I thought it would be. I know it doesn't look as large as my oval but I am hoping it still looks good on my hand? Since I am having such a horrible time deciding what I want, I left it up to my husband. He picked the RB.

So if I go ahead and trade I would then look at the Timeless Design ring as I have found out that a larger stone won't be a problem at all for the baguette setting. Or I am also really considering one of the JbEG settings. Not sure which one, since I love them all.

Would love to hear your thoughts of the RB size on my chunky finger.

Just picked up my new RB. I also already started a new thread with it for the hunt of the perfect setting. (although I am not in any hurry)

It's very pretty. I think I made the right choice.

I've been missing my oval the last few days. I think it's because it was something different. 8)

I understand the feeling. What are you doing with your stone?
