Wow...I haven''t been back to this wonderful site in ages!! Been VERY busy with work and life in general but I do miss everyone here! :)
I FINALLY got around to putting together a MyPublisher album (only been over 8 months since the wedding!!). Since I never got around to posting any of my prof pictures of the wedding, thought I''d post a link to my album in case anyone is interested. I can''t believe it''s been 8 months!! Where does the time go?!

In any case, I love catching up on how everyone''s planning is going. GOOD LUCK!!

I think you may have gotten married before I joined because I don''t remember any of your lovely details being planned, and everything looked so wonderful that I think I would have remembered it! But I just wanted to say the whole book looks great. I especially love the cake and flowers! I''m not usually much of a fan of pink, but I think your wedding did pink in such a class and romantic way!

Wow you did a great job its beautifu!

What was your favorite part?

What would you have done differently?

You look simply amazing. I hope you both have such a happy life together!

Your wedding was absolutey beautiful!!! I do have a question though. I''ve been looking for the exact type of dance floor you had. Would you mind telling me if there''s a specific name for it and where you rented it from. Thanks!

Hmmm...I can''t see get in to see it! I''ll keep trying, though!

Wow, MyPublisher is the coolest idea! Your wedding was gorgeous and classy. I love your flowers and dresses and pretty much everything about it! It looks like it was a wonderful day!

Hi Guys!
Thanks for all the kind comments. We truly did have such an amazing day. I honestly don''t have a favorite part...the entire day was such a dream. I can''t even think of one thing that I would change.
I LOVED our dance floor. My wedding planner/florist suggested it, and did everything to acquire it. She just called it a "white round." I thought it made the room so beautiful!
And thanks to all of you for the pink comments. I know it''s cliche, but I LOVE pink and I was so glad to incorporate it so much in the wedding without (hopefully!) going (too!) over the top!! :)

I remember a few pics that you posted after your wedding, and it''s nice to see additional photos. Thanks for sharing! The album is beautiful!

Athens, your wedding was beautiful! And the Publisher Album thing...so cool!! I think the way you used pink was absolutely perfect...romantic and flirty without being AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH PINK! It was subtle but beautiful.

Just wanted to say again that your engagement ring is so incredibly beautiful!

Your book is beautiful! I downloaded the software last night to try to create an album of our wedding and had a couple of questions.

When choosing an album, did you choose the wedding layout? I chose the wedding layout, but for the life of me can not figure out how to put a faded picture in the background with a couple of clearer pictures superimposed on top. It looks like you were able to do that with your album. Maybe I need to pick a different album layout? Which did you choose that gave you the most versatility? Can you help or give me some advice?

It looks like creating an ablum with mypublisher would be so much more cost efficient (and fun) than ordering one from our photographers. They wanted $2000 for an album - YIKES!!! It would mean so much more if my husband and I could design it ourselves!

Thanks in advance for your help!

Shannon

Again...thanks for all the kind comments!!

Shannon, I struggled to put the album together at first as well. I did a lot of research about various different photo album -making companies and there were very different pros and cons of each. One of the DEFINITE downfalls of MyPublisher is that their page layouts are very limited (however I think their print quality is generally rated as very good which is why I ultimately went with them...still waiting to get the actual printed book but I should know for sure tomorrow!).
In any case, I did the standard "Just Photos" layout (or something like that). I created the fancier pages in Photoshop and saved them as high-res jpeg files and then used those layouts in the book. If you go onto the MyPublisher forums, they have some good instructions on there. It takes a while but I think the end result is worth it! You can also do it with Microsoft Powerpoint, but I''m not as familiar with how you do that...
One of the other companies called Picaboo (I think) is also supposed to be pretty decent I think. They DEFINITELY have more layout options so if you have trouble using photoshop you could try making your book with that company instead. I just didn''t hear too much about their printed quality which is why I ended up not going with them.
Does that make sense???
Good luck!!

Thank you so much for your help. I will have to just dedicate some time to really sit and play with it. I really loved your album. I bet you can''t wait to get it into your litle hands! Good luck to you. You and your hubby look so hapy together! Thanks again.
