I have seen others posted their little precious. So i just cannot help myself sharing mine. Here comes the picture. The triangle is a 4.42ct green tourmaline from Gene and the blue-pink tourmaline rough weighed at 5 gram comes from Jeff White. I would expect a 50% percent yield from its good shape but I think I would hold it for a white because it is so happy to see it stay as a clean and saturated crystal. And the rest two are also tourmalines. One comes from Brazil and the other from Namibia I think.

Same here! I saw it mentioned in JW's FB page, and hoped it would go to one of those who frequent PS and CS who would appreciate such a fine specimen. And the blue green stones are lovely too, thanks for sharing!

DK :))

Thanks DK. Actually it takes me a long time to make up my mind due to the high price. But when I get my hand on it, I know I have made a very wise decision because it is worth every penny I payed for it. It is not very likely that i would be able to get this kind of material in the future. So glad that Jeff can offer the little beauty to me

Thanks Chrono. Originally I was going to find a open c-axis blue tourmaline better a neon one. So I decided to contact all the vendors i knew. I was crazy at some blue/green tourmalines on the sold page of Jeff's website but i was told that all those materials are long gone. Luckily i was told that there is still a blue-pink rought with open c-axis waiting to be cut. I was very hesitated at the high price at that time. But now I am grateful that I made a very wise decision then. I have done a lot searching on pricescope but i have never seen anyone posting any blue/pink or blue/red tourmaline. I am so glad that I have shared something different.

All your stones are lovely, but the crystal is magnificent! I hate to say it, but if you are interested in preserving value, that stone might be worth more as that awesome specimen than as a cut gem. There are lots of groups on FB that discuss crystals and could probably lend you a hand in determining that.

I know its odd for me to suggest that as I do not collect crystal specimens but only faceted gems. But that said, that is breathtakingly stunning as is, and I would really hesitate to do anything to it's beauty.

Hi,
I love the colors of the crystal. The green stone from Gene also is beautiful.

You have such a pretty collection. :wavey:

Gorgeous pieces, all wonderful color!! Thank you so much for sharing!

That is a most magnificent watermelon tourm crystal. It would be a shame to change it; it is a beautiful specimen and perfect example of nature's beauty, I don't think you can improve on it. :)
