My Ring has been ordered!! eeeek!

Hi Ladies!!! I just wanted to share the happy news!!!

My boyfriend has ordered the ring!!! My diamond is officially off the Whiteflash website, and it''s officially mine!! Katie and Blaine from Whiteflash gave it their seal of approval: they have been an absolute JOY to work with!

It''s a 1.04 carat, I SI1 from the Expert Selection collection. It''s a wonderful ''by the numbers'' diamond and I''ve been assured it''s just as pretty in person.

And I ended up going with 18K white gold (I know, I know... I was SO stuck on platinum) but in the end: I did more research and like the shine and warmer tone to WG. (I think it''ll look good with my fair skin and copper-red hair). Plus, my FFI''s ring in platinum would have been VERY expensive (he wears a size 12.5!)

I also ended up going with the simpliest setting I could (a six prong from Whiteflash) in order to put most of our budget into a stone. My FFI says he''s more than fine with upgrading the setting in the future if I ever change my mind and I really wanted to get to the almighty-1-carat mark.

It''s silly I know, but everyone has their own preferences right? Plus, I''ve always prefered six prongs, it has a platinum head... and there is something about a simple solitaire that screams ''just engaged''. I love it!

Like you I''ve helped my BF through the entire ring purchase: at first I was worried it would kill some of the surprise or excitement... but actually I think it makes it THAT much more exciting because I know what I''m getting is EXACTLY what I want!!! No worrying, no stressing for either of us.

I feel like a 5 year old waiting for Christmas!!! eeek!

Wow, that is soooo exciting. I remember when my husband gave the OK to start searching for my ring, I was sooo excited I was shaking. I am so happy for you! I love your stone and your setting. You did a great job. I loved being part of the selection process. I am very picky and a surprise ring would have been impossible. I had a hard enough time picking it out myself. It''s nice to have a team effort with something as important as this!

redfaerythinker: I did the same thing! I haven''t told anyone that I''m helping my BF with the purchase, but I broke down yesterday and had to tell my two officemates! We''re all really close and when I started smiling like a goof they just had to know what was up... They''re really excited for me and want to start planning an engagement party, haha!

Thank you ladypirate, I can''t wait to take LOTS of hand shots. There actually aren''t that many on pricescope that I''ve found with my WF setting... so I hope to help future LIWs who consider the setting to have plenty of photos.

Thank you so much hearts-arrows_girl! I''m very picky myself and I had hard time picking as well!! My boyfriend is actually really thankful I was able to help him out... It made so many things easier. For example, he has a hard time calling or emailing during work hours, but I don''t. So I was able to get information during the day for him on specifics from Whiteflash and Pricescope. A big stress reliever for him! Thank you for the compliment on my selection as well... There are so many users here with excellent diamonds and settings and I''ll admit I was nervous posting my selection: hoping no one would think it wasn''t a very good choice.

UPDATE: My ring has shipped!!!!! eeeeek!

I snooped and checked my BFs email to see if any had been sent from Whiteflash and I saw an email sent at 6:48 pm CST that said my ring had shipped and would be ready for pick-up by 10:30 AM tomorrow!!!!

Thank you Dani511! Our 6th year anniversary is April 23rd so hopefully he''ll use this ''romantic'' time of the year for us as an opportunity and not keep me waiting too long!

My FFI said that we could upgrade the setting one day if I wanted, but from the look of the gorgeous solitaires on this site this may just be my forever ring!

Update: So, I did some snooping last night and found that Whiteflash sent a picture of my ring to my BF! eeeek!
