Welp...guess they call them cat burglers for a reason....bahahaha! Sounds like something a cat would do. Mine sees something sparkly and literally goes CRAZY like he just snorted 3 lines of cat nip! During the day the sun shines on some crystal balls in my house and leaves sparkles on the walls...my cat spends hours trying to grap them...still hasn't learned they aren't tangible I guess. Anyways, 30 minutes is plenty of time for the cat napper to spot your ring...and find a comfy pile of laundry to lay in while he examines it...just be glad he didn't eat it!
