Okay, so I am by no means anywhere near professional when it comes to photography, and I took these with a point & shoot camera (it does have a macro mode though). They didn't turn out terribly, but I'm thinking I might have Mr.L bring the camera home from work (he's a graphic designer/photographer) and do a little better photoshoot. This is a pretty good representation of the color, although i think there's a little more violet to the tone of it in real life than what shows up in the photos. We didn't have much sunlight today, so most of them are taken w/ the flash on.

Thank you! I love it - I played with it out in the sun yesterday, and it was so gorgeous, but we were away from our house and I didn''t have anything, but my camera on my phone which isn''t very good.

BLUE BLINGALICIOUS!

Stunning! Absolutely, completely STUNNING!!!

LS & Upgradable - Thank you so much! I'm totally in love with it and I can't stop playing with it! Now I just have to settle on a stone (going to play at Knox Jewelers next weekend - woohoo!) and then I'll be all set.

Can you give us the specs of the stone?

LS

Holy moly! That sucker is brilliant!!!!!!! What''s it going in? Did I miss a thread already?

It''s for my e-ring - I''d originally planned on having Jeff White source & cut a cushion for me, and had contacted Jeff to have him start looking for rough, but I kept being drawn back to this stone on Richard Homer''s site. It was smaller than I originally planned on having, but I was just DRAWN to it. As everyone here always says, you will just know when you find the right stone, and this was it for me!

Do you have a basic direction for the setting? Or have you gotten one chosen? That sapphire is so beautiful, were it me, I''d set it with minimal distractions. Brian has an amazing swirl type setting with filigree. I don''t think there are any accent diamonds at all.

This is the one I was thinking of. I love this setting!!

Beautiful stone!! I have one of Richard's concave cuts, too. Photography does not do them justice.

Where is this setting from? I love it!!!

WOW.....can''t wait to see it on your finger!!!!

Well, I''m thinking of going with the Petite Open Cathedral from Whiteflash because it''s so delicate and has a little bit of sparkle, but won''t overwhelm the sapphire. But, my mom thinks that I should set it as a solitaire so that the stone stands out on it''s own. So, now I''m torn. Fortunately, I live about 2 hours away from Minneapolis, so I''m going down there next weekend with Mr.L''s brother''s fiance to look at settings and see what looks best. I''ve been eyeing up halos - I love the way they look - but I just don''t think that they are me. I''m more a simple setting type of girl, and I think that while a halo would be beautifu, I think it would just feel like too much on my hand. Plus Mr. L hate them!

Upgradeable - I do really like that setting and how fluid it looks, and I also like the Silk solitaire - it's very simple and elegant.

Thank you! I was so nervous to get it - you never know what a stone will look like in person and I was worried that I''d get it and not *love* it - you know? But the minute I saw it, I loved it and that was under flourescent lighting in the office at work! Then when I saw it in sunlight this weekend, I was just blown away!

Stunning stone - love the color and it will be gorgeous in that setting.

BEAUTIFUL!! I think it would look great in the petite open cathedral. I don''t think at all that it would take away from your sapphire!

Your sapphire is beautiful! And I love the setting that Upgradable suggested.
