My turn for some sad news with regard to an aging parent!

Aww, @dk168, I am so sorry for you and your brother’s loss. For me, it felt like a sea change when my mom died. The end of a generation in our family. Thinking kind thoughts for you and your brother as you transition to a new space.

I kind of knew when I was over in Vancouver in April 2024 that she did not have long to live, so I was prepared.

I am glad I made it over here just in time when she was still conscious and recognised me when I visited her at the hospital the day I landed.

Perhaps my brother was right in that she waited to see me before she let go, as she deterioated rapidly once I was in Vancouver.
