Hi everyone,

I''m totally new to the colored stone world. After seeing so many beautiful gemstones on here, I''ve asked my mom if I can have one of her stones hoping to make it into a ring. Well guess what? she gave me all of them!

I absolutely have no idea what they are and I''m not sure if all of them are gemstone so hopefully someone can help me to identify them. Ok here we go...

We can''t give you any conclusive answers, just speculate. If you want something more specific, you''ll have to take them to a gemologist for examination. Based on their looks I''d say pink sapphire and amethyst, but whether natural, synthetic, treated...it could be a number of things. Of course, it could turn out they''re just glass as well.

Could be pink sapphire and amethyst to me too but it’s hard to say for sure since they are on a yellow leaf which skews their real colours. It’s best to photograph on the back of the hand for accurate guesses but if you want to know for sure, perhaps a hobbyist with the right tools or a gemologist friend will be able to give a positive ID.
