We bought my engagement ring but no diamond yet! We are in the market for a 1 ct diamond and were going to shop around are there any good places to start looking?

Depending on how set you are on a ''1ct'' stone, consider one just under (0.95-0.99) as the prices tend to jump at the magic 1ct mark. That way you can spend your money on better cut/clarity/color rather than that last little 0.01-0.05. It tecnically wouldn''t be a full carat but most people round up when they talk diamond size anyway.
